*dances about* It's a snow day!

...and as I seem to recall, the last snow day we had, I joined YWS. Ah, nostalgia.

Has anyone else had a snowday thus far?

A snowday is a day when it snows?

We hardly ever get snow here. *sigh*

The sad thing about college is that snow doesn't warrant a snow day..

But we actually had two last year because of the ice and a Level 3 snow emergency (you know, when it's illegal to drive). The Third day we started classes on a Level 3, the college just didn't care anymore.

No... But I took today off because the roads in my area (mother's area, not anywhere near school) were nasty, and rural, and I didn't want to die. My dad was mad. XD

I live in the south. Snow doesn't favour us. At least, not until some random day in February. Plus, I'm in college now so the likelihood of a snow day is rather low.

For the past two years I attended a residential public school (meaning you had to live there, in the school, in order to go there). The only time we had snow days was when it was terrible outside and the teachers, a few of who lived an hour or more away, couldn't make it to class. We hadn't had one of those days in years. I think a few teachers have even stayed at the school to assure their presence the next day. Then, it snowed one Thursday night last February or March and they called a snow day. :D However, it really wasn't all that bad outside and some teachers still made it to the school. So, five minutes before eight and the first class of the day, some brilliant administrator delegated that we still go to class and see if our teachers were there. Even many of the teachers who did make it to school were angry at that. Lots of us had already gone back to sleep. Myself? Well, I was playing Guitar Hero. >:3

I live in Florida, so I never have a snow day. Here we have hurricane days, which are no fun.

We don't get snow days. Well, students don't but sometimes the teachers just can't get in.

When I was in school we still went in even when the heating was broken and none of the radiators worked; we just got told to wear more clothes XD
please grant me my small wish; (love me to the marrow of my bones)

It's snowed twice in my town in my lifetime, but last year we had days off because the roads were too bad for people who live in the country to get to school.

Unfortunately, it's about 80 degrees outside right now.

Glad you got a day off, though, Sambo. :D
