"A windows based RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Projector) text reader. This text reader allows the end user to reach reading speeds up to 8 times (or more) normal reading speed by streaming words centrally to the user, instead of having to search back and forth." Basically, it allows you to read something word by word, without having to move your eyes, reducing muscle strain and improving efficiency.

Short on time? Need to read something fast? This program is great. Plus, the more you use it the faster you get. I suppose the only thing that would be a problem would be comprehension at the faster speeds, but you get better as you use it. Also, it'd be pretty hard to critique grammar using the speedreading mode. ;) You might find it useful or you might find it a fun toy. Either way, it's a neat piece of software.

So if you want to read someone's work real quick, highlight it, copy it, go into FastReader, go to file and then "Open from clippboard." It's also fun to bump the speed fast and faster until you reach the point where your brain gets overwhelmed.

FastReader: Overclock your brain! :P
