At first, I didn't really think it was real; that it was just an automated message I received from the staff of Blog Talk Radio. But for whatever reason, they really have now decided to make YWS Radio a featured talk show on Blog Talk Radio. Out of over 20,000 programs on Blog Talk Radio, only 229 are featured. YWS Radio is now included in that number.

So I'm quite pleased! What it means is the program will now be featured on the front page of Blog Talk Radio the day the program airs. That will primarily mean a big bump in the number of listeners.

Needless to say, I'm excited! And many thanks goes again to everyone who has listened in live or downloaded the show. Particular thanks goes to everyone who has called in; especially Claudette for saving me in the first two shows and Flemzo for creating that awesome intro. Brad is additionally working on an ending as well, which is going to be sweet. And again thanks to Meshugenah and Areida for preforming "Who's on Fiction" and putting up with my silliness on air!

That's great! Did they give any particular reason that it was selected? I'd love to know!

Hahah, They put you up there because they heard about how great a writer you were and how you were going to critique pieces on the air and offer help to writers who call in. ^_~

Ah, but jokes aside, this is really, really good. Makes me all too happy. The site will (hopefully) get new members. Which is always welcomed.

I might end up "saving" you on the next episode! (Though I feel like a real air-time hog) I finally found a poem to read.

How cool! The "Who's on Fiction" thing was awesome. And the laugh track. We need to keep that around for the [s]hilarious[/s] jokes.

And Meshoooogenah and ARI!da will never get old. xD

Nope, no reason. What I think it mainly has to do with is their desire to find shows to feature in each category on their site. A week ago, there were a few categories with no featured shows, including 'Writing.' Now 'Writing' has three featured shows, including YWS. Within 'Writing' itself, there are only 260 shows, and of that 260, only a very small number are active. So if I filed YWS under 'Entertainment,' which I did consider doing, I doubt it would have been picked as there are very many active shows in that category.

But then that just goes on to demonstrate the importance of finding an empty niche and filling it. Because YWS Radio fulfills such a niche, it ends up getting more notice than if it occupied a broader category. Far better to slice and dice audiences rather than trying to make something that appeals to everyone.
