Look for ‘young writers’ on Google and the first page mostly shows sites that are either defunct, or are as useful as an English teacher who thinks she’s a poet but rhymes ‘Texas’ with ‘fact is.’ Even on Writers Digest Top 101 Sites For Writers, you’ll only find two sites that are meant for young writers.
To ameliorate this dilemma, the Young Writers Society will from now on publish an annual listing of the best 10 sites for young writers as chosen by young writers. To nominate a site, simply head over to the YWS Blog and click on the link in the upper right hand corner. As YWS is running this, it will be excluded from the list.
In fact, two lists will be published. The first will be a Best 10 as chosen from among the nominations by the YWS administration staff. The second will be a Top 10 based on the volume of nominations a site receives. For more information, see:
