I have seen a bunch of movies recently. I like the whole experience of going to the theater and interacting with people (laughter, "ooh ahh", etc.) but still having a certain amount of space. Some of these were in the dollar theater, which would be why I saw them so late, if you were wondering.

Movie[s]s[/s] I Saw This Month Already:

Hot Fuzz-I saw this movie for one reason and one reason only. The trailer said it was "from the same people who brought you Shaun of the Dead". Hot Fuzz isn't as good as that particular gem, but it's still pretty hilarious. I'd take it over Reno 911 any day.

Movies I Saw Last Month, but Since it's Only the 5th of this Month I'm Totally Including Them

1408-Loved it. So many horror/thriller movies are cheeseariffic, but 1408 works with a viewer's doubt and totally dispels them. The ending was a bit empty, but only because I was expecting the kind of ending most modern movies of the genre leave you with. This is actually a kinda genius movie.

300-Pretty okay, but did they REALLY have to go to slow-mo for every single death? A little overkill! (Ha, ha! Ha! Ha? Laugh with me!)

Bridge to Terabithia-A sorta okay Disney adaptation of a damn good book.

Die Hard 4-Minimal CGI, maximum action. LOVE the butt-kicking Asian chick, love the computer geek(s), LOVE the sense of humor the movie has about itself.

Evan Almighty-I'm not a huge Steve Carell fan, but I loved Bruce Almighty, and I love love LOVE Morgan Freeman. Everybody in the movie had a role where they pretty much did what they do best - Wanda Sykes was something like a witty sidekick, that chick off Gilmore Girls was having her heart slowly broken (Alright, now cue the tears... Perfect!), and so on. I still strongly prefer Bruce Almighty, but that was to be expected.

Grindhouse-Best. Movie. Ever. I MUST own this!

Knocked Up-Funny, but I still felt unmoved. Katherine Heigl's boobs looked extra fake. Well, I thought it was worth noting.

Pirates of the Carribean 3-I have a few issues with it. I guess it's an okay film overall.

Shrek the Third-Way better than Shrek 2, not as good as the original.

As is a tale, so is life; not how long it is, but how good it is.

I went to go and see Shrek the Third at the weekend. I'm so glad that I get my subscription card as a birthday gift, so I didn't have to waste my money on buying a ticket. There were so many jokes they could have used, but just didn't. It was far too cheesey and predictable in my opinion.

The first one is still the best.
please grant me my small wish; (love me to the marrow of my bones)

Went to see Pirates of the Carribbian 3. Can we say cheesy? But good. I liked it a lot, despite the cheesyness. Normally, I can't stand it when things are cheesy, but, I liked the story enough to keep from cringing.

ok I've seen these movies recently:

Gracie-inspirational and very uplifting at the end..but sad at the beginning and during the middle.

Nancy Drew- a good chick-flick

The Fantastic Four:Rise of the Silver Surfer- better than the first one. I really liked it

Evan Almighty- Really good. My dad especially liked that one.

Live Free or Die Hard- lots of action. really liked it.

Ratatouille-good animated movie

Transformers-the best movie of the year so far. love the CG

and..i saw Lincese to Wed yesterday...a very bad movie.

hm..i've probably seen more than that so far this summer , but i can't think of any right now. I also could write a really long review for all of them..but that would just probably bore everyone. :D

I don't go to the movies as often as I usually did, but that could just be because the movies these days don't exactly wow me anymore. I saw.....

1. Ratatouille: Liked it a lot. Really fun and cute.
2. Harry Potter: Order...: I thought it was just me at first, but I've asked a whole bunch of other people their opinions as well. We all say the same thing: 'twas horrible.

...ok. Maybe not horrible; that's a bit exaggerated, but it was pretty bad. *cries at the loss of money*

Update: I've seen way more movies, now, so I shall add them!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix-Wow, I actually loved this movie. The only thing I can say is that they screwed up the prophecy majorly and didn't emphasize how cut off from everybody Harry really was enough.

Transformers-WOW! Way better than anyone should expect for a movie that brags about its association with Hasbro. This was also the first time I'd seen that really weird trailer for the Movie-Without-a-Name, which looks incredibly stupid, like Blair Witch Project sprinkled with extraterrestrials. Three words: What. Ev. Er.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry-This movie is gonna tick a lot of sensitive people off, but hell, I liked it. BTW, Jessica Biel's wardrobe is amazing in this movie! By that, I mean, I'm usually not drooling over her, but she picked the perfect outfits to make me want her in this movie! Dang!

Nancy Drew-I wish this movie was out when I was 7ish or so. It's great for young girls who are (A) nerdy, (B) gay, or (C) nerdy and gay. No, I'm serious. The whole movie is about Nancy being a different kind of girl than "normal".

Wild Hogs-Not that memorable, really. The Extreme Home Makeover part that ran during credits was the best.

The Invisible-It was okay. That's really all I can say about it.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: I liked it. It could've been better, but what they worked with was phenomenal.

Transformers: Wow. Absolutely an amazing movie. I wasn't too hyped up on it, but... wow. Fantastic.

Evan Almightly: Saw it twice, and it was hilarious both times. Maybe I'm a sucker for Steve Carrell and Morgan Freeman, but, man, it was great.

Alright, I've seen another movie now:

I Know Who Killed Me-Why did I see this movie? It has an AWESOME POSTER! Well, it turns out that the movie's a supernatural "torture porn" flick. It was pretty gross in parts even for the genre. At (completely inappropriate) times, it went for laughs. It was also meant to be some strange highly stylized type of thing. I really don't know what to think about it.

I saw these movies...

Harry Potter 5: David Yates is one of the better directors. I know a lot of things were cut, but that had to happen. The movie was the best so far. I hope that they keep Yates for the rest of the series.

Hairspray: I LOVED this movie. Granted that I'm a musical theatre fan and will do anything to see a good show onstage, but this one is not only better than the broadway show, it's better than the original!

Wanting to see...

Bourne Ultimatum: This movie just looks cool!

Transformers: Again, looks like a cool action movie.

Die Hard 4: Who doesn't love this series?

Things I've heard are being made into movies...

The Jetsons: Might be good...just hope they don't do what they did to Scooby Doo and Series of Unfortunate Events

Goosebumps:  :? How is this possible? I mean, really, there are too many books, never the same character more than three times, and, let's face it, the TV show "Are You Afraid of the Dark" would make a better movie.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians The Lightning Thief: Great novel, hope they don't screw it up, but I've heard that Chris Columbus is directing it so....

Anyway those are the movies I have seen, Hope to see, and heard of possibly making them.
