Moscow nightclub fire claims 10 lives
MOSCOW, March 25 (UPI) -- At least 10 people died in a fire at a Moscow nightclub early Sunday and authorities said the death toll could rise as crews searched the rubble.

About 150 people were in the Lenkom Theater when the blaze broke out, RIA Novosti reported.

Seems like Russia is having a lot of fires lately? It isn't in the article, but I heard on the news that pyrotechnics were to blame (I may have miss heard) so this could have been prevented. Still, Russia has been having a lot of fires/disasters...

Yeah. I heard in the past month something like 245 people have died in accidents. But then, Russia has had problems for as long as anyone can remember, and the cold war didn't help at all.. all that money on military research instead of basic civilian infrastructure.

I'm moving to Georgia in the summer, one of the ex-soviet client states. Remind me to steer clear of nightclubs.
