I realized we really have no general advertisement section so I'm posting here XD

I have to thank CL for introducing me to this amazing web site, and now I want to introduce as many people as I can to this site. www.bookmooch.com

It's like being able to buy books off the internet and a library had a baby.

From the site:
BookMooch is a community for exchanging used books.

BookMooch lets you give away books you no longer need in exchange for books you really want.

It runs on a point system. You get points for a variety of things, and with these points you can then "Mooch" books. This is a lovely concept, because if you are looking for hard to find books, or older books, may be able to find them. (I have!) and it is certainly cheaper than buying them, IMO. Though, stamps and envelops do cost some. Also a lot of popular books tend to be on there, and in great number. There is a very long list for harry potter books...

Here's a link where you can read more information on how the site works: http://bookmooch.com/about/overview

Happy Mooching!

Another example of why the internet is awesome :P

I signed up, but I'm not sure if I'll use it. I tend to be a hoarder; I can't even bring myself to give away books I haven't read in ten years.

Is Nate a Bibliomaniac?

I think I might be one too.

Very interesting idea. *Bookmarks it for later reference* Goodness knows I have some books I'd like to give away!

W00t! I always meant to post something here about BookMooch.com, but I kept forgetting.

...

I am so addicted!

The best part is that I found out about this site from my local news.

BTW, my handle is satyr, if anyone is interested.
