🎉 Happy 14th Birthday YWS! 🎉

The Table of Masterminds presents...

YWS Birthday Collaboration Contest!

It's YWS Birthday Week for 2018! To celebrate 14 years of this beloved website, a group of ordinary YWSers put their heads together to think up events relevant to what The Young Writers Society signifies to them. The result is this: a contest that reflects the supportive spirit between older and younger members of the site. The aim of this contest is to bridge the years across YWS by inviting you to collaborate with an older or newer member to create a piece of work.

Entries
It's open to all works, with a minimum of 500 words for prose and 10 lines for poetry or script. Artwork and photography is also accepted. You can make it a celebratory birthday piece or choose any topic of your own.

Contestants
Pairs must have at least a year difference in YWS age (the age of your YWS account). There's no requirement for actual age. You can enter as many different collaborations with different people as you want.

Workshop
If you're not sure where to get started or want a boost, there will be a Collaboration Workshop on [*] which anybody is welcome to join!

How to Enter
You can post your co-written work in this thread either by putting it inside a spoiler, or publishing it and including the link here. Remember to include the usernames of both collaborators! Entries close *.

Prize
The prize for 1st Place is three review coupons each, which can be redeemed on any of your works, as well as a shower of cheer and praise. Submissions will be judged by some members of the Table of Masterminds.

Where do I start?
Head over to this thread in The Double Trouble Writing Huddle and post an ad.

I always knew that deep down in every human heart, there is mercy and generosity. No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
