Readers

With the long summer months coming in and heat waves bursting on the horizon, it's a great time to settle down, pick up a good book and disappear for a while. No study requirements, no critique, just the fun of getting lost in someone else's imagination.

This summer my challenge to you is to grab a book written by one of our resident YWSers and take it away to read. It's easy, it's free, and when you're done you can have a chat with the author, ask them a few questions, give feedback, however you want.

If you're interested or have any suggestions then leave a comment below and I'll tag you when we have the reading list up.

Writers

At the moment we're still seeking donations, so if you have something you want to donate send me a PM and we can get things rolling.

We're looking for completed short stories and novellas of 10k or more, or at least 30k of a novel. Drop me a message with the following;

Format: Short Story / Novella / Novel
Length: 10k > 300k
Status: Not Complete / 1st Draft / Completed
Synopsis: A brief synopsis to give us an idea of what we're working with.

I would love to be a reader and submit as well. When's the deadline for having something to submit by? Because I'm going to be done with my current draft around mid-May, not sure if that's too late.

I would love to participate as a reader and writer or one of the two. My book still needs a bit more work but it should be done relatively soon if that works for you.

I'm hoping to get the reading list up and ready in the first week of June, so getting them finished by then would be great. Ideally the sooner you can get the basic details and the synopsis to me the better so that we can start working on the blurbs.
