This pressing question has recently been brought to my attention via YouTube. How do you remember this children's cartoon and book series?

This type of thing creeps me out so, so much. Like, my friend's sister showed me a video about it and I was blown away. I believe this is called the Mandela Effect, which is my favorite thing dealing with messed up perceptions and such.

Agh I think I voted for the wrong one. I definitely know it was Berenstain Bears, but I think that's seared in my memory after I got the name confused with a popular TV commercial lawyer named Sam Bernstein. I think the Bernstein name is more common as a last name and that's where the confusion arose.

Um this is no question that needs to be answered. It's pronounced Berenstein and I will not have it any other way.

Case closed. I don't even know why you asked this, really.

@Nikayla, I was curious in knowing because I saw a really interesting video about it! ^_^ A large amount of people remember it being spelled as Berenstein, rather than Berenstain. It's really cool, so I suggest looking it up! I personally remember it as Berenstein Bears. ^_^

I mean, I never really watched it as a kid. But apparently my parents read it to me, and I do remember seeing an episode or two of it.

@ChildofNowhere this is being cited as an example of "The Mandela Effect" (named for the common example where some people remember Nelson Mandela as dying in prison in the 1980's). I don't know how common it was internationally but the books/show are children's books about a family of bears that teach moral lessons and such.

Link about the Mandela effect, which supports my theory that people are remember "stein" because it's more common than "stain": http://www.snopes.com/2016/07/24/the-mandela-effect/

@Mage I was just joking :p. I actually haven't known anyone who's said it Berenstain in my whole life so this is like a new abstract concept to me.

I've always always always known it as Bernstein and...wow. I just can't even--like even after they brought it up on GMM I was like "nah this is Rhett doing a Rhett thing."

I legitimately contacted my mother a couple of months back and asked her how she remembered it. We both came away from that conversation confused.

Berenstein all the way.

I always thought it was Berenstein, and I've never seen the cartoon (maybe a bit of the books). *reality implodes*
