Where YWSers came from in 2015
So where did YWSers come from in 2016? Not only did they come from every corner of the globe, but even South America finally got in the game! South America never shows up on YWS!
TOP 10 CITIES
1. London
2. Columbus, Ohio
3. New York City
4. Sydney
5. Los Angeles
6. Chicago
7. Atlanta
8. New Delhi
9. Houston
10. Dublin
The top 10 cities hasn't changed too much from last year, although there has been shuffling. London moved back into the number 1 spot, and San Francisco, which dominated last year due to a large number of odd one-time visits, fell to #37.
Columbus enters the list for the first time this year at number two, while Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur have fallen from 9 and 10, respectively, to 11 and 19.
TOP 10 COUNTRIES
1. United States
2. United Kingdom
3. India
4. Australia
5. Canada
6. Philippines
7. Ireland
8. Malaysia
9. Bangladesh
10. France
India has replaced Canada as the #3 country on YWS while Canada has fallen to #5. Meanwhile, New Zealand has fallen from #10 to #14 and is thus no longer in the top 10. Taking its place is Bangladesh.
For those curious what comes before New Zealand, it's Pakistan (#11), Norway (#12), and Japan (#13).
COUNTRIES WITH ZERO VISITS
- North Korea
- Mali
- Niger
- Burkina Faso
- South Sudan
- Western Sahara (not really a country...)
Dropping off this list from last year are Chad and the Central African Republic, which both scored a grand total of 1 visit. Entering this list this year is Burkina Faso.
BROWSER USAGE
Internet Explorer usage continues to decline. In 2015, it was 7.3% with Edge included. In 2016, only 5.58% of users used it.
Sadly, Firefox (my favorite browser) is also declining from 15% in 2015 to 8.72% in 2016. Chrome increased from 51% to 57.57%, and Safari was essentially unchanged.
