I wish I could learn latin. I like ancient languages. If only the school would give me credit for learning that elven language in Lord of the Rings....

English is my second language. I learned a little bit of Hindi from my friends as my third language. Now, I really want to learn Spanish/French and Arabic/Mandarin.
(As an aside, second language often refers to a language that is spoken in the area/country where the person lives but that isn't their first language, and otherwise we speak of "foreign languages". So Latin, for example, is unlikely to be anyone's second language, because it's not spoken like that anymore. ANYWAY. )
English is my main foreign language as well - I started learning it when I was 8 or 9. My native language is Finnish. I also speak a bit of Swedish, French, and German (though all of these much worse than when I was still at school), and I've also done the basics of Irish, Russian, and Spanish.
But I would really like to brush these all up because you forget so much when you don't use the language. I'm especially sad about French because I was close to fluent maybe six years ago, but then school finished and I stopped studying French.

First language is English, second language is Hebrew (fluent), third language is Spanish (conversational), fourth language is Arabic--Levantine (basic)
Technically, English isn't my first language, but I've spoken it since childhood and lost a lot of my ability to speak my true first language, though I am practicing to regain as much of it as possible. But I call English my first language on any standardized tests and stuff anyways, since that's the only thing I'm fluent in.
But I am taking Spanish as a foreign language at school.
