Hey guys, for part of my school's linguistic study, I have to study language change. And though I can't tell you all what I'm investigating (because that would ruin the essay), I need to create a survey and tablet my results.

So, I would be very thankful if some lovely YWSers can help me out by recording themselves on Vocaroo, saying the following sentences.

Say it with a pause at the end of each sentence.

Spoiler! :
Questions:
Kelly assume that her friend liked orange juice.

I went to school on Tuesday.

Jeez, that was rude of her to interrupt you.

The small sapling grew into a big tree.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Amy had eaten all the apples, I’m afraid there’s only a few of them left.

I can solve the Rubik’s cube in 5 seconds!

We visited a nuclear plant on Monday.

I love drawing sand dunes, they’re wonderfully mesmerizing.

I heard that she was one of the top-ranked students in 2015, I wonder what she’s doing now.

When you finished recording, paste the link along with this.

Code: Select all
Age:
Ethnicity:
Nationality

So what do you get for doing this? You get the satisfaction of knowing why you did it, and you also get 50 points and a review on any of your works!

I'm intrigued and hope my accent, which is not local to anywhere given my parents influence from SA and England, doesn't throw your results.

@FeatherPen, thanks very much. :D That's exactly what I want, I want to say if people with different ethnicity and nationality will affect how they pronounce certain words.

sorry if the recording isn't that great D:
Also, is it supposed to be Kelly assume? because it was a little hard for me to say that sentence as written.
Also Kelly's my name so I suppose I am the authority on the pronunciation of that word 8) (and it was kinda weird seeing it as the first word in the set!) hehe!
Instead, he said, Brother! I know your hunger.
To this, the Wolf answered, Lo!

Do you need our first spoken language/other languages we speak besides English?

I'll do it if you change Kelly to Kellie >.>

Because that's the proper way to spell Kellie <.<

I had such a terrible quality microphone on my computer I had to switch to my phone and transfer the audio file to Vocaroo since the plug-in itself wasn't supported.

Age: 18
Ethnicity: Caucasian, English
Nationality: British. I live in northern England where the accents are very different from those in the south, but I have southern parents and I've been told I speak with a southern accent.

@Iggy, of course.
@Rosendorn, That would have been really interesting, but in this case, just English is fine.
