Poetry or prose, there's probably some part of writing that you're good at and pride yourself on, whether it's writing realistic dialogue, fantastic plotting skills, great imagery, flow ... the list goes on. We talk about what our weaknesses are quite a lot, as writers, but sometimes it feels good to be able to brag, too. ;)

So! What're your writing strengths?

I write flash fiction because I suck really badly at doing things. Though I am proud that I am able to formulate sick plots and interesting characters.

also, flashfic ftw

I'm good at characters and worldbuilding! No wonder; that's my favorite bit.

My only strong point is my imagination... and I think I'm quite good at putting it on paper. ._.

I think I'm good at dialogue. I love listening to people and watching people, and I'm definitely a noticer when it comes to people. I think all of that noticing has helped with writing realistic dialogue because I pay attention to how people talk and how people react/respond to others.

I thiiiink I'm not too bad at getting the atmosphere how I want it. And I think I tend to be pretty good at beginnings, maybe, because that's when the feel that I'm trying to get across is at its strongest. After that it's a huge, grey, mud puddle.

Good at dialogue, and the imagination part, but oh if only you could print things out of your head without even trying.

I'm good at creating sad and solitude mood...
That's it sadness and loneliness...

Another might be I am good (and proud) at creating small quick pictures in my writing...(can you understand it...?)
I love Koku.
He is damn cute and should be the main character
and not some lazy old man that supposedly genius but a sucker in his own life.
Koku is Koku.
Koku is CUTE.

Procrastination.

I mean, probably poetry? I always try to do prose but I suck at it most of the time. In prose, I think my dialogue or characters are my stronger points.

Writing romance is my strength. In almost everything I write, there is romance. Well...eh, I am proud of it too.

This isn't necessarily writing-specific, but it definitely helps me write, and that is my determination. I finish what I start, period, as long as my initial motivation is past a certain threshold. I set up goals, I make time, and I get it done. I've done it with two years of NaPo and two novels so far, one of which I forced myself to abandon because I realized I had no idea how to fix the myriad of problems it had. The other novel, I should have done within a month.

As for actual writing strengths, I really don't know. I feel like my dialogue is usually all right.
