Okay, so whilst we're already into 2016 and generally these "Favourite [blank] of 2015" style posts happen in December, today I was doing my Hottest 100 votes, so it was on my mind. This is my third year of voting in the Hottest 100 (which if you haven't heard of it, because it's really only big here in Australia, is an annual countdown held by Triple J, a radio station here), and it's the most I've struggled to cut down my votes to only ten, because I've encountered a lot of really awesome music this year.

Anyway, so my top songs from 2015 were more or less as follows.
Down to You - Bad Pony
Give Me A Try - The Wombats
Too Much Time Together - San Cisco
Depreston - Courtney Barnett
Can't Have Them - Hockey Dad
Police Encounters - FFS
Fourth of July - Sufjan Stevens
Swear Jar - Illy (language warning)
Young - Vallis Alps
Lit Screen - IV League
Say My Name - Peking Duk

I'll stop inflicting my music taste on everybody now, but I love lists and music, so what are your favourite songs from 2015/songs that you first heard in 2015?
if we wait until we're ready
we'll be waiting
for the rest of our lives

I was totally considering doing this on my wall!

My favourites are:

Ship To Wreck by Florence and the Machine

Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon

Second Hand Heart by Ben Haenow ft. Kelly Clarkson

That's about all I got. I can't tell if some of the other songs I like are actually from 2015 or not, plus I love a load of the old stuff.

To feel pain, and swallow fear

Can't Sleep Love
“I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then."
- Lewis Carroll

"You're wrong about humanity. They are your greatest creation because they're better than you are. Sure, they're weak, and they cheat and steal and destroy and disappoint, but they also give and create, and they sing and dance and love. Above all, they never give up."
— Metatron
