Hello everyone and welcome to the first week of our events for celebrating YWS' birthday! YWS was created on November 14th, 2004.

This event is really simple: because YWS is nearly eleven years old, we will be focusing on the number eleven! Below is a checklist of areas around the site that involve the number eleven somehow and your job is to either do an action or find some things.

The person who gets all links to me first will win!

But what will I win, you ask?
3rd Place: One review from yours truly, redeemable for all of eternity; 500 pts; and a pat on the back!
2nd Place: Two reviews from yours truly, redeemable for all of eternity; 1000 pts; and a pat on the back!
1st Place: Three reviews from yours truly, redeemable for all of eternity; 2500 pts; and a pat on the back!

All participants will earn a badge, regardless of completing the entire checklist or not!

Intrigued? Wonderful! Now onto the good stuff... the rules.

1. Links to everything must be provided to qualify for entry. If you're missing a link, that's your fault. If you fail to send any links, that's also your fault. I'm not gonna go digging around to make sure the name of the thread you've listed is correct, I want a direct link to check.
2. One PM, one entry. Make sure you have everything before you send that PM!
3. Sharing information with another participant is forbidden. This is a competition for a reason, so keep everything private. This includes skype, text, site PMs, etc. Anything online or offline counts, and if I find out, you will be disqualified. If you come across something listed, I ask you refrain from liking it so it doesn't show up in the People feed and everyone now has a freebie link.
4. All entries must be PMed directly to Iggy. To avoid copy-pasting, if your entry is posted in this topic, it will be deleted.
5. The links for #1, #2, and #5 in the checklist have to lead to a post/blog/etc. made before this month, Nov. 2015.
6. Besides #s 1, 2, and 5 in the checklist, you cannot link to posts/threads you've made, or your own avatar for #9 in the checklist. Soooorryyy!!!

3. Find 11 topics locked by Iggy
4. Find 11 blog posts that have to do with writing
5. Complete the 11s Survey blog
6. Find 11 threads over 11 pages long
7. Find 11 pinned threads
8. Find 11 posts with at least two quote boxes within it
9. 11 members with a cartoonish avatar
10. 11 members with a post count over 3000
11. 11 works with 11+ likes

How do we know if the topics are/were locked by Iggy? I'm pretty sure they just say that they are locked.

Um 1, 2, and 5 don't have to follow rule 5, yes?

@fortis, it says in rule #6 that the only exceptions are #s 1, 2, and 5.


Also, sorry to anyone who thought the ywstival was happening! I got confused and it was 4am, which is never a good time to be planning events. The ywstival will be happening in December.

It reads like you can link back to when you've welcomed members in the past or done the 11s blog survey in the past, but you can't make them now. What I mean is rule six doesn't mention rule five at all. ^^

Ohhhhhh, I see your point. Good catch, I'll modify that. ^^

Oh wait! No, I understand where the confusion is coming from. Rule #6 is talking about the 1, 2, and 5 in the checklist, not in the rules. does that make better sense, fort?

How do we know which topics are locked by Iggy?

Wait... @Iggy so that's the only way? I've been searching the site and I've only found a few. There's no other way to know unless you made a specific post?

I never said it would be easy. if you try searching for my username + locked, that miiiight help.. Or you can check the Randomosity forum, because topics over 100 pages get locked. But other than that, I can't help you much more or it wouldn't be a challenge!
