Greetings!

If you have been wanting to read more books and explore genres you have never ventured into, a Book Reading Challenge will do the trick.

Popsugar's "2015 Ultimate Reading Challenge" has been lately going around. So to make this year more exciting and challenging on the book reading front I decided to take it up. I thought it will be more fun if it happened here on YWS.

365 days and 50 books? We can do that right?

What do you gain from this challenge?
Bragging rights. Also, having discovered some really cool books.

This sounds awesome! I'm so in.

A book with more than 500 pages:
A classic romance: Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (okay, this isn't a classic, but since I don't ever read romance I'm putting it here. P.S. It's totally 18+ just in case that's a problem for anyone who sees this and wants to read it.)
A book that became a movie: The Duff by Kody Keplinger (the movie is completely different from the book. It has (almost) all the same characters, yet a completely different story line and ultimate feel to it. Good job Hollywood. *rolls eyes*)

A book with a one word title:
A book of short stories:
A book set in a different country: The Cellar by Natasha Preston
A non fiction book:
A popular author’s first book:
A book from an author you love that you haven’t read:
A book a friend recommended:
A Pulitzer Prize-winning book:
A book based on a true story:
A book at the bottom of your to-read list: The Selection by Kiera Cass (the whole series is just the best. All the feels were spent on these three books)
A book your mum loves:
A book that scares you:
A book more than 100 years old:
A book based entirely on its cover:
A book you were supposed to read but you didn’t:
A memoir:
A book you can finish in a day: Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant (I finished it in 2.5 hours actually. Disclaimer: it has larger print :3)
A book with antonyms in the title:
A book set somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit:
A book with bad reviews:
A trilogy: The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau *leaves room to post the other two books as I will surely be tearing through them soon*
A book from your childhood:
A book with a love triangle:
A book set in the future:
A book set in high school:
A book with a color in the title:
A book with magic:
A graphic novel:

I'm in. We'll see how many I actually finish though.

EDIT: I've decided not to cross anything off, but rather put every book I read into any category it fits in, with the hope of hitting all 50 at least once. I'm also putting books I may read in green.
Spoiler! :
A book with more than 500 pages:Stealing Faces by Michael Prescott
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
A classic romance:Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
A book that became a movie:Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett (it's been a radio show anyway...yeah this is a placeholder)
A book published this year:To Hold the Bridge by Garth Nix
A book with number in its title:Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes and Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman
A book written by someone under 30:The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
A book with non -human characters:Asunder by Jodi Meadows
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
A funny book:Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
A book by a female author:Asunder by Jodi Meadows
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
A mystery or thriller:Stealing Faces by Michael Prescott
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
A book with a one word title:Asunder by Jodi Meadows
A book of short stories:To Hold the Bridge by Garth Nix
A book set in a different country:Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (several countries)
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
A non fiction book:And the Good News Is... by Dana Perino
A popular author’s first book:The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
A book from an author you love that you haven’t read:To Hold the Bridge by Garth Nix
A book a friend recommended:Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides (I've had multiple people recommend this to me. I'm pretty sure it's mostly because I'm Greek and grew up near Detroit.)
A Pulitzer Prize-winning book:Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
A book based on a true story:
A book at the bottom of your to-read list:A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
(I don't have a proper to-read list, but these have been sitting on my Nook for ages, so that counts)
A book your mum loves:Okay so my mom doesn't read anything beside work emails, so this might be tricky. I could use my dad's tastes, but I'm really not keen on reading Bill O'Reilly's lastest drivel...I'll have to think about this one.
ETA: And the Good News Is... by Dana Perino...my dad gave it to me so it's as close as I'll get.
A book that scares you:Stealing Faces by Michael Prescott
A book more than 100 years old:Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
A book based entirely on its cover:I'm not really sure what this one means. Like a book you pick just because of its cover? Then maybe
Asunder by Jodi Meadows counts because that's partly why I bought Incarnate.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (definitely qualifies, I wasn't even planning to buy books until I saw that cover. I suppose if reading the back cover is cheating, then I cheated, but I'll never not read that, so I say it counts).
A book you were supposed to read but you didn’t:
A memoir:And the Good News Is... by Dana Perino
A book you can finish in a day:The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
A book with antonyms in the title:Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

A book that came out the year you were born:
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
A book with bad reviews:A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick[/color]
A trilogy:(partially) Incarnate trilogy by Jodi Meadows (read 1st in 2014)
The Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix (Lirael, Sabriel, and Abhorsen)
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
A book from your childhood:Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett (okay, more like adolescence, but again, I'll hopefully read something else)
The Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix (again, more like adolescence, but it works)
A book with a love triangle:Asunder by Jodi Meadows
A book set in the future:
A book set in high school:The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter (well it starts that way anyway...)
A book with a color in the title:
A book with magic:Asunder by Jodi Meadows
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
A graphic novel:The Sandman: Vol. 1: Preludes and Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman
A book by an author you have never tried:The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

by Nicole Krauss
A banned book:
A book based on or turned into a TV show:The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman
