I was part of a small website back in 2013 run by the BBC; technically it wasn't a writing site but there was a very good community of young writers there! It was actually really fun there but sadly it was shut down. Flash forward to October, losing inspiration to right, I typed into google "Young writers forums". And Voila! Here I am! Still here and breathing and not looking to go anywhere for a long while!
The reason I joined YWS was all because of my sister. I saw her doing it, and I started thinking about writing more seriously. She helped me create my account, and has been encouraging me to do it ever since.
So...... if you want to blame someone, blame her.
P.S. I'm not saying who she is, but you're all welcome to guess!
Noodles, don't noodles...

I joined because I discovered that the writing website I had been on before was actually cheating kids for stories. I decided to quit and found this. Best decision of my life. :3
Nothing to see here, puny mortals. Move along.

I did it to provide a larger platform for my writing, to help others with their writing, and to ensure that I got the critique that I need.
Feel free to just randomly message me, I get bored easily.
I'm a black, non-binary transgender boy, who is a Christian witch (tentative for now). I'm also a panromantic asexual. I sell poetry; contact me if you're interested in buying poems from me.
I wanted motivation to write more, and I figured if I was on a site entirely dedicated to writing, I'd write more. So far, it's working great. I'm almost done with the first short story I'm going to post on here. I'm hoping I'll have it up sometime in the next couple days.
We're all stories in the end.

I think you, @Deanie and I are like the Three Book Nerd Musketeers of YWS. -bluewaterlily
“The end of suffering does not justify the suffering, and so there is no end to suffering, what a mess I am, I thought, what a fool, how foolish and narrow, how worthless, how pinched and pathetic, how helpless."
@ongoeslife saw me writing in school, walked up to me, asked what I was writing, and recommended I check out this cool site for writers called the Young Writers Society.
Your hesitation suggests you are trying to protect my feelings. However, since I have none, I would prefer you to be honest. An artist's growth depends upon accurate feedback. — LCDR Data
