These things are so unreliable...first off, IQ is really not an accurate means of calculating one's intelligence. Some of the smartest people in the world were awful test takers.

I got a 139 on one IQ test, a 128 on this one, and an 80 on another one...

The concept of the IQ is an outdated thing of the past.

I can understand why you would think that @Spotswood, but I just thought it would be cool to see the difference in our scores. IQ tests measure intelligence, but there are many other factors to consider.

Actually, IQ tests are very faulty and are a flawed way of measuring "intelligence".

I took an IQ test when I was 5 and got a score of 140 or so - by all statistics, more than two standard deviations away from the norm, and thus "a genius", but here I sit at the same level as basically everyone else in my age and social brackets. I took learning capacity tests when I was 16 and came out "far above average", and all that's done for me is have people on every side tell me "you should go into math or science". (FYI, I took this test and got a score of 148. Statistically, ~5% of people score above 130 on a standardized IQ test. Sincere doubts that we're all in that 5%.)

A lot of test-takers are pressured into trying fields they don't like, they don't learn well in, or they just plain can't handle. I'm not a science person; some people aren't music people; some don't enjoy literary analysis, or agriculture, or architecture. It's not fair to the person to tell them, based on one test, "this is what you should do with the rest of your life, whether you want to or not".

I suggest reading up on IQ testing - it has roots in a lot of social problems, and there are many other ways of measuring intelligence and learning capability that don't place test-takers on an arbitrary scale, or pressuring them into studying certain fields based on a few numbers.

I got 116. However, I didn't get to finish it.
