We all know that if we try to write, we'll be distracted by the internet. It's there. Calling.

So who ya gonna call? [s]Ghostbusters![/s] LeechBlock!

It's a very handy tool. For me, it's almost natural instinct to start writing say, 50 words (or even less), then open up Firefox and come to YWS. But now, if I want to, I can block it for about half an hour (or for however long) and get typing. It really helps. It's not even just YWS--YouTube, Sports, or anything.

Sadly, it's only available for Firefox (although there might be other similar add-ons for Safari and IE). Anyway, it's a great productivity tool, and not too difficult to start up.

Oh yeah, I've got LeechBlock added already. It helps a lot. I'm speaking from experience. I use LeechBlock when I'm cramming my homework. xD

Anyway, I'd recommend it to anybody suffering because of those sites. The first two things I open up when I get on the computer are Word, and the internet. However, the internet's been dominating me and I use LeechBlock whenever I need to write. I nearly forgot about it, till I saw this. Thanks Blink!
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

Aw, this sounds brilliant but we have MS Internet Explorer. Damn.

*coughdarncough*

I tend to block out the Internet is by locking myself in my room and either using a computer that doesn't have one (yes, those do exist) or writing on paper.

And, I have both IE and Firefox. So ^ those options are the only ones that really work.

That's one useful little tool! I always have the tendency to open Word and then proceed to get distracted by the wonder that's called the internet. On multiple occasions I've just pulled out the internet cable to stop procrastination from happening, but this sounds like it would work just perfectly as well.
