One of my main characters in my novel is male-to-female transgender. The novel takes place a long time after she's come out and it's not her coming out story. The world it takes place in is also usually very accepting of these sorts of things.

Anyway, I'm mostly wondering about any pitfalls I should avoid. I'm really looking for any information or tips, but I mostly want to know what I should avoid. Things that are bad and appear in writing I want to know about. Anything else I should know is also appreciated. Thanks in advance.

@Kale recently wrote a primer of how to research identity, so I'd check that out first!
