I'm writing a book report for school and I have to map out the plot. Do I include the event in the prolouge?

Is the event in the prologue important to the plot? If so, then yes. Otherwise, no. The plot is only concerned with the most important events.

There is no such thing as a prologue. You've been sold a bundle of lies by the Epic-Fantasy Industrial Complex.
