Hello there! Welcome to YWS. We're glad you found this forum. We want all new members to come here and introduce themselves!

Before I get started, I want to make sure that you know two major rules at YWS;

Firstly: Always review two of someone else's works before posting one of your own. The YWS 2:1 ratio.
Secondly: Minimize chat-speak. All good writers use proper grammar/ punctuation/ words. Try using "you" instead of "u" etc,.

Now, I'm just going to go over a few more things about YWS.

I am a Greeter. That is why my name is blue. I am in charge of greeting and welcoming new members, such as yourself, to the sight.
Instructors are purple. They're who you go to see for a very detailed review and such.
Junior Moderators are light green. They help keep the sight in check.
Moderators keep the sight in check. They have quite a bit of power (XD). Respect them.
Admins are in charge of updating the site. Nate created it, etc,. Respect them.
Distinguished Members are orange. The name is self-explanatory.

Now, we're all done with that! You never did really tell us about yourself. What are your "favourites"?

What's you favourite movie?
What's your favourite sport?
Who's your favourite author(s)?
What's your favourite book?
What are your favourite band/ singer(s)?
What's your favourite song?
What genre's do you write?

Well, that's all, really. Check out the "Rules" forum for more! If you need anything, feel free to PM me-- or anyone, really-- if you need help. We're all willing to help a fellow writer!

Thanks!

~La Reina!

What a brief hello O_O.

Tell us about you! :D What did you start reading? Favorite books and movies and music! Where'd you get you username?

Or maybe you just like to be an enigma e_e ... I'll crack you yet.

Anyway, welcome to the site :D I hope it inspires you like it does me.

To see you again…

Hiya and welcome!

Something about reviews: They must be three to six lines to count as a proper "review." You can't simply post that you loved/hated something, you have to say why.

And, another thing to point out is how wonderful rated literary works are! Rated works (unless rated R) show up on the front page of YWS. You might get more comments if it shows up there. ;) Rated R works have the f-word and/or graphic scenes.

The full set of rules can be found here.

If you have any questions, PM me.

Welcome Welcome Welcome!

I love your name! :D :D :D It's so unique!

I just thought that I should welcome you to the huge family. Remember, everybody here is like a HUGE community, like a school, only better. No homework

What do you do? Do you write poetry, fiction, or fantasy? Or do you draw? That would be so awesome. I personally can't draw at all. I write poems :D .

So, welcome to the family!!!

Thanks for all the welcomes! Okay, now I'll answer some questions.

I love a lot of movies. A few of my favorites are Pride and Prejudice, The Dark Knight, and Lord of the Rings.
My favorite sport is softball. I am really involved with ballet too, but I don't know if that counts as a sport. :D
My favorite authors are J.R.R Tolkien and Jane Austen. :o
My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice.
My favorite band is probably either The Killers or Coldplay.
I have two favorite songs, Lost! and 42 (by coldplay). But my favorites change very often! :)
I like writing fantasy, adventure, and romance.

Once again, thanks for all of the welcomes! I feel so loved! :D

Hey sparrow!

Here at YWS, you are totally loved. :] it's like one big happy family: we may live all around the world, but we are united by our love of writing (and reviewing.)

Anywho, since everyone has told you the rules already I thought I should tell you the best kept secret about YWS. . .it's incredibly amazing!!! Wait, you already knew that? Darn, I guess it's kind of obvious then.

I have to say, Coldplay is quite a great band. I personally like Viva La Vida and Yellow by them. I think all of theirs songs are good though. And I also loooooove Jane Austin. She is an amazing author whose works I aspire to.

Welcome to YWS, my friend.

Please PM me anytime! I'm always open to some good conversation or questions

Enjoy your time here. I'm sure you will love it. <3
