Welcome, Rachel.

Here at YWS we have two main rules:

1) No chatspeak. We like proper English.
2) Keep the 2:1 ratio alive. For everyone one literary work you post, you must review two others.

I'm sure you'll love it here! What kinds of things do you usually write? Who are some of your favorite authors? If you stranded on a desert island with only a pinata filled with Hershey's chocolate, would you eat it or use it to start a fire?

If you need anything, PM me!

Stay classy,
Shannon

Hey, Rachel!

Nice to meet you! I'm Sakura. ^_^

A few rules you should know:

-No chat speak. This is a writers' site -- we tend to frown upon improper grammar and abbreviations such as "r", "kk", or "u".

-Keep swearing inside the literary forums only. If you post a piece of work that is vulgar or has cussing, rate it accordingly.

-Keep a 2:1 ratio- for every piece of your writing you post, have two reviews of others' writing.

So...

Any favorite books/authors?
Favorite music?

If you have any questions, PM me and feel free to add me to your friends list.

*Rachel~

How are you on this fine day? I hope all is well. Anywho, welcome to this home of creative young writers. And, I'm sure you'll find this place very helpful to you. Oh, and have loads of fun here, too!!

Let's see, most of my inspiration is usually from walking on boardwalks next to the sea. And/or from dreams. And I'm sure there are lots more that I can't think of.

Oh, and I am such a slow typer that a helpful greeter will go over the important rules way before I submit this.

Anyway, why don't you tell us a little about yourself? Favorite interests besides writing? Hobbies/Music/TV/Movies/etc.

What do you like to write? A little here a little there, I suppose?

Well, if you ever need anything feel free to give me a PM or guestbook signing.

See you around!

*Merry

Hi Rachel, I'm Rachael! seriously

I love to write fantasy, sci-fi, and animal books, but I sometimes write other things too. Fantasy is just my fave.

I read almost anything except for horror and supernatural type books.

I have a lot of pets, but no horses.

So what about you? What do you write/read?

Thanks you guys for the advice!
It's very helpful!
And wow that's super cool that we have the same name Racheal!

So I absolutly love alternative type music and some pop if it's good.
My favorite books are non ficiton, romance, or old biography's.
I'm kind of obsessed with reading and have my own mini library.
So tell me about you guys!
And when I start posting my poetry, please comment on it.
I know I need to tone down my rawness and would love some constructive critisism.
NaNoWriMo, ftw.

Hiya and welcome!

Poetry is something I comment on. I'll keep an eye out for your work!

One little thing when posting your work, it's nice when you rate it. If you do, it'll show up on the front page for all to see! And who doesn't want their stuff to be seen?

I'm more a classical girl when it comes to music. But, like you, if I hear pop that is good I like it.

I tend to write fantasy, poetry and a very small amount of realistic fiction.

If you need anything, feel free to PM me.

Hello Rachel! I [s]have[/s] had a friend name Rachelle and you two sound quite alike. Well, it's great to see a new face. Granted, I'm a bit late, but oh well. Hm, poetry, huh? I can do poetry, but don't expect any stellar reviews. Well, you like pop? I love rock. Alternate, metal, whatever. As long as it has rock in the name, it'll do.

So, feel free to PM me for whatever you need. Reviews, questions, chatting, whatever. I'll be available. See ya around on the Poetry forums. Just one question: What type of poetry do you write? Narrative, Lyric, what? It'll be easier for me to hunt you down.
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

You can find most of my work in Other Poetry
I write more unconventinal stuff, and I kind of surprised when I saw all of the time period peices
If you see the poem I've already posted, then could someone tell me if it's in the right spot?
Because I honestly have no idea
NaNoWriMo, ftw.

Hi, Rachel! I'm Lily, and, belated as this may be, welcome to the family!

Posted work already? You might want to do your reviews. I notice you only have one done on your review count. As mentioned above, you need at least 2.

I'm not much of a poetry critic, so sorry if I don't review your poems! If I did, it would probably go:
Your poem is good! I think. Is it supposed to be like that? I'm not sure. But keep writing!

...or something along those lines.

If you need any help that does not concern poetry, just PM me!

Cheers,
Lily.
