Hiya and welcome to YWS!

Two rules you should know:

1- Review two works before posting any of your own. It's asked you always keep that 2:1 ratio.
2- Minimize chat-speak. That means proper grammar, spelling and caps. Some abbreviations are okay, as are alliterations, just don't overdo it.

Tamora Pierce! I love her! Can you pick a favourite book/quartet?

Cheerleading? Cool! Is it power? That stuff's amazing to watch.

I love your username. Did anything inspire it?

If you need anything, feel free to PM me.

Moi! (That's Finnish for "hi!") :D

Welcome to YWS, Alyss! Do you have a preferable nickname I could use? ;) I'm Demeter, but most people tend to shorten it to Dem or Demi. I'm open for all nicknames, really :)

So you might have already noticed that there are different coloured people around here. I'm purple, so that means I'm an Instructor. Instructors never turn down a review request (usually, no one else does, either) and our main job is to help people to improve with their writing.

Then there are Blues, the Greeters. They, well, greet. I'm sure you'll meet one of them sooner than you think. Light green people are Junior Mods, whereas dark green are Mods. Red is for site admins and orange for Distinguished Members.

For more stuff like this, check the rules.

I like poetry, too, but I'm not really for fantasy. I've never done any cheerleading, but I'm a dancer. Isn't that pretty close? :)

Well, I hope you like it here. Don't be afraid to PM me whenever you need something.

See you around!

You can call me Alyss. I love the Alainna set. Something did in fact inspire my username. It was a set of books that I read. The series is called Daughters of the Moon.
I can't dance, because I'm a bit ditsy. I'm more into the stunting and tumbling.

Selamat siang Alyss! (Good afternoon in Indonesian) Great to hear from you. By the way, 'konnichiwa' has two 'n's. Moving aside from that, you like Garth Nix too? I like his series, the one that began with Mister Monday. I can't exactly remember the series names because I'm hooked on another series.

You do cheerleading? Wow. How is it? Well, I'll be checking your portfolio. Bye!
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

Hey Alyss,
As usual, I'm late to greet you.
Sorry about that.
Anyway, I'm Meep and welcome to the YWS family!
Nice to have you here :D

*points fingers* Ooooh, a Stephenie Meyer fan!
*watches as the other Twilighters flock to Alyss*
Anyway, the rules have been explained to you by Rosey and Reuben,
So if you don't understand anything, just ask me.
And feel free to PM me if you want a review! :D

You're a cheerleader?
Oh, that's cool. I've always read about cheerleaders in stories,
But from where I come from, the school's don't really have cheerleaders,
For competition or as an extra-curricular activity or anything.

I can review any Fantasy fic stories you post,
But I'm afraid if you ask me for a poetry review, my review would go like this:
"Uhh, yeah. Poetry. Nice/Not so nice."
It's not my forte, but I can appreciate and write some.
Still, I'm not reliable there XD

See you around! Drop me a PM whenever you feel like it! :D

Tag! (German for "Hi!") and Ciao! (Italian for "Hello!")

I'm a newbie too! Yay! Welcome!

Sorry I'm late as well. Pretty much all has been said that I would have said.

PM me anytime should you need a fellow new member to go through the awkwardness of induction, or just if you need anything. I will warn you though, I'm terrible at getting critiques done when I say I'm going to. I go by the "Procrastinators UNITE! Tomorrow." motto. It works very well for me, except when it comes to school, in which case it does nothing at all except make me very tired in the morning because I was up late the previous night doing homework that should have been done hours or days ago.

But anyway, hello, and welcome!

— Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey
