I wouldn't say I am new to YWS, but I am recently active.
I've only ever posted one piece here ,and I would say by now it is lost in the pages of innumerable stories from all these imagitive minds.

I must make it a point to post more.

Some of you might know me from the chats.
I'm 21, I have a baby, and boy did that spark a moment of controversy!
I'm married. And I write. A lot. I am big into SFF, and probably nothing else, which is sad, because I am most likely missing out on alot.

I hated Twilight.
Can't help it.

I love Harry Potter.
Reason I started reading.

I read at a college-level when I was 9. Not bragging or anything.
Cant spell for beans.

I mix up the words grammatical and grammarical.
One of them does not exist.

I'm a nervous writer, who's anxiety to show her work
plauges her every day, so few people have read it.
Working on that.

So far I have nothing but plesantries to spread about YWS, it is by far the best moderated forum I have found to date, and that is saying something indeed.

Keep up the fantastic work, and I look forward to reading more incredible work by young under aprecataited writers!

I try to take the time to read and review what I can, when I can, in the most polite manner I can.

If I'm rude let me know.

I never mean to be.
I'm friendly.

Shadowbox.

Hey, shadowbox,

Since you been in the chat, you know the chat-speak is a big no-no here, some abberations are okay though.

the other rule is try to maintain a 2:1 ratio with posting your work and the reviews of other works.

So, you are 21 and have a baby already? Wow, i'm at least waiting until i am twenty-five to have a child.

So, what type of genre are you hoping to do here? and do you read? if so, what type of book do you enjoy and who is your favorite author?

well, if you need help on anything, feel free to pm me.

see ya around.

Ah yes, I remember you posting something on here once upon a time.

Yep, I read at a high level when I was younger too (grade 7 and reading level grade 10, not that I'm bragging either) and my English has kept up since then. Spelling is something.... let's say I'm getting better.

Yes, no reason to be nervous. If you say to tone down a critique we will comply!

Hope you fine more time for one of the best writing sites on the web!

If you need anything, feel free to PM me.

Haha, you sound a bit like me. I love SFF, and I'm just now beginning a DnD campaign.
Remember: post two reviews for every literary work you post (in your case, I would say stories.)

Hi Shadowbox!

You have a cool screen name! How did it come about?

You have a baby? Cool! Is it a boy or a girl?

I understand what you mean about Twilight, I couldn't stand the first chapter and all the "woe is me" stuff. It's just so annoying.

Good grammar and spelling is one of those things which is a little difficult to master. I got better through practice. I suggest using Firefox as a web browser, because it has a spell checker built in. It really cuts down on mistakes in spelling, although you still have to be careful to use the right word. "There" is a correct way to spell something, but it isn't good if you really meant "they're."

It's only natural to be apprehensive in showing off your work. To get around it, I usually like to create new pieces of work for submission. It helps me with my technique and I can look at it as an experimental piece, instead of a serious novel.

Hey Shadowbox!
So you're not new here I see.
And the rules have been explained to you.

I'm also apprehensive when posting my work,
Because I'm afraid to disappoint people.
I'll just have to remember that everyone in YWS is here to help :)
PM me if you want a review! Normally my reviews aren't very...strict? Harsh?

Oh, so you're married and have a baby?
What's his her name? How old is he/she?
*envious* wow, reading college-level stuff at 9?
I don't really know what I read and we don't have a reading standard here...
So...I guess I'm just ordinary :D

See you around!

Wow, college level at nine years old? Awesome. I am suddenly envious all of a sudden. Anyway, nice to meet you. A Twilight hater? Join the club. I don't know why but I hate all of the latest crazes. Twilight turned my friends into Edward Cullen obsessed zombies They normally wouldn't even pick up a book but they're fighting over the only library copy of Twilight.

Anywho, great to hear about you. And I agree with Griffinkeeper, your name is cool. So... I have nothing else to say. Bye!
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

Hey shadow, good to meet you! And pleasantries are always lovely and well appreciated ^^

Here's a good place to get over that anxiety because it just takes a few clicks and your work is up =) However if you're feeling especially brave, I'm always looking for things to review so feel free to send a pm my way. You can do the same if you have questions or would like to chat even, I'm here to help.

Enjoy your time around the site! And hopefully I'll see you around some time,

Hello Shadobox! Yes I too adore your username!

I think it's grammatical...

I always spell similar, similiar. I guess I mix it up with familiar.

OH yes do tell us more about your baby. Boy or girl?

Potter series are awesome! I know a lot of people who started reading because of them. Well Welcome to YWS and I hope you enjoy.

Don't worry about posting your work up. I'd definitely like to a look at it. Send me a PM if you want a review.

See you around!
