[b] :) Im exciting about finding a society online that share common interests as well as myself. I am from a city in florida that doesnt have many real live socials for young writers like me. I was kind of shy about showing people my creations because some of my characters are very well like me, just with a little twist. If you want please email me some stuff, because I love reading from different worlds and if you like I could send you some of my work. :)

Hi wilsc7! I'm WaterVyper and it's great to see you. Before you start, there are two main rules here on YWS.

1. Keep the 2:1 rule. That means for every work that you post up here, please review two other works.

2. No chatspeak. Here on YWS, we respect proper grammar and spelling. You might see us use some abbreviations like brb, or btw.

Well, I think that's it. Don't be shy about sharing your creations! Everyone here is willing to help you, so don't worry about it. You like fantasy/sci-fi? There are many people here who feel the same way. I think we have a user group for that. Check under the bit 'Groups' button up there.

So, what are your favorite books/authors? Do you have any other hobbies?

Well, great to meet you. PM me if you need anything. See ya!
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

Finally, a fellow Floridian! (Talk about alliteration.)

Well, I'm very glad to meet you. My name's Stori, as you've noticed, but feel free to call me "Kite." Everyone does.

So, what genres do you read and write? Do you have a favorite author?

Welcome to YWS! This is definitely a great place to meet similarly-minded writers. There are plenty of places to socialise and get involved all over the site. PM me if anything confuses you. Enjoy yourself!

hey new person, I'm God, as you can see,
if you take offense at that name, my apologies, feel free to call me by any name at all. I don't care.

this, as you seem well aware is a society for the young writers of wherever,
so that's what we do, we write... or draw, or bicker over YWS politics, whatever you please,

as has been said, we are interested in, you, in fact.
I feel it neccessary to welcome you personally to YWS, because, well, everyone needs a sympathetic ear, and many people on here will tear your work to shreds (meanwhile giving great constructive criticism)
but that was never my style, I'm too ADD to sit and comment on someones mechanical mistakes, and I refuse to try to change there style issues, whether I personally like them or not.

So, who are you, what do you do, what's it like where you come from?
answer them, don't whatever you please,

feel free to PM me about any questions, comments, randomness, conversation, debate, or whatnot,
at any time, I usually check this several times a day, so I should be available.

Peace,
God

Heya, wilsc. I'm Lily, and welcome to the family!

Nobody else in real life is really interested in writing, either, except my rather critical family. Thank goodness for YWS!

I know how the characters always seem sort of like you. It's probably because you find yourself easiest to write about, seeing as you know yourself best. I tend to model my characters on myself as well. They're all kind of tall, bookish, and love writing. And usually brunettes. It's pretty hard for me to write about popular, pretty, stereotypical airheads.

So what is it that you write? Romance, perhaps?

If you write anything, you can PM me to let me know, and I'll review it. ;)

And of course, have fun.

Cheers,
Lily.
