Hi, My name is Katy. I use writing alot to resolve questions and issues I have in my life. I'm a very inquisitive person, so don't think I'm nosy or anything. I'm 16 years old and I live in Canberra, Australia, which is the Capital City but not by the beach, unfortunately. I like acting in plays and maybe one day acting in a movie. I write only when I feel like it, which means I could go for a few weeks not writing anything, then days furiously scribbling or typing every spare moment. I like to keep active, playing soccer and squash and swiming in my pool and going to the gym. I love to read, I find it both stimulating and relaxing.

Now, to some more interesthing things about me:
I'm very left wing politically...I would call myself a democratic socialist.
I've had various maladies throughout my short life: glandular fever untreated as a young child, which causes me to be extremely lathargic for most my childhood, epilepsy, which was undiagnosed for about two years, worst years of my life-still have to be heavily medecated, which in turn I believe was what caused me to slip into a deep depression which I have recovered from slowly, through eating healthy, exercsing and having wonderful friends.

Basically I believe that I have something to say about life, that's why I write. I want people to hear my thoughts and to know me and my view of the world. I'm very interested in philosophy and things beyond the material world. This post turned out alot more serious than I thought it would. I'm basically a fun loving person most of the time and I like wit in all forms :)
So, thanks for reading if you did...

Sounds like you have a very diverse life. I'm sure I don't want to match wits with you. :)

Remember the "Two Commandments," as I call them, and you should be fine. They are:
1)Critique two works for each one you post.
2)Don't use chat language; it's like swearing here.

Somebody else who knows that squash is also a sport!

I've played off and on since I was ten.

Snap! I love philosophy, who are your favourite philosophers?
