Hey yo, I'm Anaïs. I'm one of the billion or so twenty-something poet-mystics in Manhattan trying to recapture the glory of the good old days. Plus, the other day I ran into Art Garfunkel in a coffeeshop in midtown, which makes me awesome by association, right?

Thanks for the kind (and inquisitive) welcome. Yes, there are lots of cabs, though I tend to walk or take the subway - much cheaper. Manhattan is swamped with people, and I think it's very pretty, though not when the snow gets all crusty and black towards the middle-end of winter. I write mostly experimental poems; I like abstractions and rely heavily on images. I love music and movies: favorites at the moment being air traffic, motion city soundtrack, and travis for the former, and once, the boondock saints, and the departed for the former. I'm definitely a morning person, and I couldn't even try to pick a favorite book, though I do have a tie for least favorite: Eragon and Twilight. I think they're both literary herpes and should never have been published. Thanks again for the welcome - hope to see you around the site!

I'm sure YWS appreciates your endorsement, and I'm glad you love it. The more happy customers, the more likely you are to be happy with the service, right? Thanks for the welcome.

I don't care for Eragon or Twilight, either. They're not very well written, methinks. Plus that they're kind of overrated. Oh jeez, now all the fans will stab me to death for saying this. I'm sorry, everyone!
Do you have any favourite author or writing genre? Your poems sound cool – hopefully you'll post some of them soon!
Anyways, PM me if you have any troubles. I'm also open for chatting, so just come and talk. See you around.

Before anything else, I got some things for you. First, please read the rules and the FAQ. This will help you out a lot. We have a rule which indicates that you have to make 2 reviews first before you post anything. After you have done that, try to keep up with a 2:1 review post ratio.
If you have any further concerns, feel free to PM me anytime!
Wow, you live in New York? I'd love to live there!
Anyway, enjoy and have an AWESOME time!
See ya around!
