Im 18 and i live in the United Kingdom
Providing i get the result ill soon be a Maths student at Exeter
My favourite books are the Order of the Pheonix, Wolf of the Plains and Angels and Demons.

Ive never really done any serious writing before, but i want to give it ago
I hoping to pick up tips on here and see what others make of what ive written

Hey Matt, you live in the UK? I've never been there. I think you'll Love It here on YWS, It is a vey good site to expand your knowledge of writing, However there are rules :

Rules
I All stories and poems must be rated accordingly. If they have vulgar language, please rate them as 'R.'

II Keep all comments clean! For stories and poems, one may use vulgar language, but this is not the case with comments. All inappropiate comments will be edited.

III Members are asked to withold on submitting work until they post two reviews. After one has done, a member can submit as much work as he/she may like, although it is requested that one keeps the ratio of reviews to work to at least 2 to 1.

IV If you are not a Mentor or a Moderator, then please do not act like one!

V Members should seek to improve other's writing skills.

VI The administration reserves the right to delete posts and restrict access.

VII This is a writers forum, and thus "netspeak" or "1337" is simply not allowed.

Hey Matt! Welcome Aboard!

Angels and Demons!!! Mhhmm, I love that book as well. I actually like it better than The Da Vinci Code though the latter is more popular. Order of the Phoenix is also an awesome book!

It was a very good idea to join YWS! This site has helped me immensely with my writing and I'm sure it'll do the same for you. We will be more than happy to read your work!
