I've written a lot of short stories, and poems. I've been published in a local literary journal and national literary magazine for my poems. I began writing a novel a while ago... and that's why I joined, so I could get feedback on it. My goal is to have the first draft done by the end of the summer. I am unsure what to categorize the novel under, most likely literary fiction.
Books you like? What do you read?
I love anything by David Sedaris and Isabel Allende. There are, of course, more authors, but I really love their writing styles, how Sedaris is effortlessly funny and Allende's magical realism portrayed in House of Spirits.
What hobbies do you have?
I bellydance. I'm in a bellydance troupe called the Navel Academy with three other women. I also practice yoga. I'm a painter-- I went to art school for five years for all aspects of visual art. A lot of people say my writing reflects this, although I feel this sometimes it isn't to my advantage.
Do you have any pets?
I have a b&w cat named Molly and a Beagle named Waffles.
