There's a People tab, where you can see everyone's status updates. You can make your own as well.

About reviews -> the more you do, the more stars you get. There's a whole list of 'em here. (The stars show up under your avatar) You can use your points that you get my reviewing for publishing more stories. (PS: If you do a review in the Green Room, you get 25 extra points. And if it's an older work, you can get 25 more points.

If you have more questions, then you can let any global moderator, admin or junior moderator and they'll help out. Or, you can go to the FAQ for New Users that answers a buncha more questions.
