I have just stumbled upon this website, and would like to ask if anyone could tell me how the feedback and response is on here. I have used many others before and they were about as helpful as trying to put out a fire with gasoline.

Yes, people will tell you that are things in your writing that need to be improved, but they aren't mean about it. This site is friendly c:

Hi Michael and welcome to YWS!

Overall, I'd say you generally get good feedback here. Some are more praise-happy while others are more critical, but most people try to be friendly and helpful. Negative/inflammatory comments are rare.

In order to post works, you need to earn points by reviewing. The longer a review is, the more points you earn. If a work has less than 2 reviews, it's in the Green Room and you can earn more points.

You can also request reviews in the Will Review for Food forum. viewforum.php?f=188. This way, you can request a review from someone who likes to review what you write!

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Now, here's your complimentary welcome gift!

Heya CaptainMichael and welcome to YWS! I have to say that feedback varies depending on the person and piece. But overall, we have some awesome awesome critiques on YWS. They are mostly all family-friendly but some of us are a little bit harsher because we don't like to sugarcoat issues. If you want some examples of reviews, I suggest that you visit either Deanie or Noelle awesome reviews. Or you could just go into the green room and look around. I hope that this answers your questions.

Welcome to YWS. I hope that you enjoy your time and your stay here.
