If you haven't already seen it, here's a post that you might find useful: Are you a new member? Read me! It basically goes through the basics of how YWS works, and is a pretty good starting point. YWS is a really great community for sharing your stories and making friends, so I'm sure you'll have a great time here.

You mentioned that you like writing short stories, is there a particular genre you're partial to writing? Or do you like to dabble? 8)
