Thanks! I actually named my first OC (well, she was a fan character for the Super Mario franchise XD) Kortez, after a boss in the video game, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (awesome video game, by the way). The boss was this epic skeleton king named Cortez, so I thought that it was just an awesome name.
