Juliet

She sighs before looking at Preston, "C'mon. Your coming home."

I study her, looking at Preston as well.

Preston

I glance back at them, "Um... you may not have noticed, but for the past twenty years, I've been living two floors above yours."

Juliet

I pull him into a kiss without hesitation to rub it in his parents faces, and his mom practically pins me against the wall, keeping me there by my neck as I cough, "I swear to god," She mutters, "I will rip of your head and soak it in vervain if you don't leave this city, and stay away from my son. This city shouldn't be corrupted by your innocent feeding. Just leave before I open the blinds and watch you burn."

Preston

I stand and pry my way between my mother's grip and Juliet, "I asked her to stay. Things will be controlled."

Juliet

I swallow, my face even more pale and study her.

"I still want her out!" She says in my face.

I look down, knowing she can destroy me if she wanted, and hesitate before walking out the door.

Preston

I glare at my mother before chasing after Juliet, ignoring my father completely.

Juliet

I push through the doors and start walking the agrees, arms crossed.

Preston

"Jules," I call out, catching up. "Wait."

Juliet

I turn around, arms still crossed, and sigh.

Preston

I sigh, studying her, "You don't have to leave. You just have to promise to avoid feeding off the innocent. I could help you ween off of it until you can take it. As long as we don't kill, my parents have no right saying who I can and cannot be around."

Juliet

"I can't Just stop," I tell him, "It's too hard."

Preston

I nod, "I know. That's like asking a drug addict to just stop taking the chemical they're addicted to. It doesn't work. I can help you though. A little less each day, replacing the rest with regular blood."

Juliet

I study him before nodding slowly, running a hand through my hair.

Preston

I nod back and glance at the apartments, "Let's go somewhere before the sun rises. Away from my parents."

Juliet

I think, "Where wouldn't they find us? You've been here longer then I have."
