Welcome to Rhythms of Chaos.

History/setting: The world has recently been destroyed by the unleashing of something that was particularly destructive, but a few places in the country of Tambrean had survived the magical apocalypse, including the mountain ranges. However, the magical disaster had caused the animals that had survived to mutate into vicious monsters, so people usually stay in colonies to survive.

There is one particular colony in the mountains that is protected by a sea-serpent, both are one of the last of their kind in the world. None knows why this sea-serpent protects the mountain colony, but everyone knows he keeps the ‘monsters’ away.

A small group on kids set out on an adventure to find something else other than their small colony. Along the way they encounter danger, betrayal and other things they can’t name.

There are a few main characters, and these are as follows:

1. The protagonist: a young woman who is also an archer. - Claimed by LezaleanWitch.

2.An adventurer-thief who has either left the colony or has been cast out. - Claimed by WhiteTiger93.

3.The snobby son of the leader of the colony and the protagonist’s unwanted fiancé. - Claimed by Kelcia.

There are also three other positions that haven't been preset.

You can do what you like with these characters, including names, ages and the like. The girl stays an archer though, as will the thief. Neither have magic.

There are only 3 rules:

2) No god-modding.
3) No bad swearing-that includes the f-words and b-words!

Character Profile:

Name: Geneva Caldoran

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Skills/Occupation: Archer

Magical or Non-magical: Non-magical

Personality: Quiet, kind and gentle, Geneva is generally known for being one of the most well-mannered girls in the colony. However, she isn't quite the obedient type, apparent since she has learned to be an archer despite her parents' wishes.

Appearance: Geneva has golden brown waves tied up into a braid and light amber-brown eyes. She is considered a pretty girl by all who know her.

Likes: Doing what she wants.

Dislikes: Being forced to do anything.

History: Geneva was born the second daughter to George and Ameline Caldoran. Outshone by her elder sister in everything, Geneva had taken up archery so she could be proficient at something her sister wasn't. This had served well - when the apocalypse had hit, Geneva had been one of those who had fended off the monsters at the beginning, before the sea-serpent had ever come to protect the colony. Geneva has recently found out that she was betrothed to the son of the leader of the colony.

Other: Geneva doesn't like her fiance much, unfortunately. She is also afraid of lakes (having nearly drowned in one when she was younger) and always carries her quiver and bow around, so don't try to surprise her.

Name: Jesse Farland.

Age: 19, almost 20.

Gender: Female.

Skills/Occupation: Thief.

Magical or Non-magical: Magical.

Personality: Fun loving and care free. Jesse likes to steal things and often pockets stuff she isn't meant to; this gets her in trouble often. Although you need to watch her temper; it's dangerous! And often gets her into sticky situations, not to mention near-death ones as well...

Appearance: Tall with dark hair and stunning green eyes, Jesse is a distraction-for everyone, not just men.

Likes: Shiny things, expensive things and yes, stealing things. She is a thief after all...
Dislikes: Getting caught (which has happened once or twice), being forced to do anything and monsters.

History: Not much is known about Jesse. She's been a thief since she was young and loves the rush she gets from sneaking around and stealing things.

Other: She knows the thief as they both live in the same camp. Has a dagger she calls Avása which means 'shadow' and a wooden staff that she always carries around with her. Jesse can cast simple verbal spells that animate nearby objects. She can also talk to the sea-serpent and has a pet dog that has been unaffected by the disaster.

Name: Arthur Brimas

Age: Nineteen

Gender: Male

Skills/Occupation: Son and probable future leader of the colony. His father is grooming him to be a good leader, as in wise, clever, etc, but, unfortunately, it really isn’t catching on.

Magical or Non-magical: Non-magical

Personality: Whiny and snobbish are two adjectives often put to him. He rather enjoys watching people be made fun of, (unless it’s him, of course).

Appearance: Thick, curly brown hair, hazel eyes, average height. Considered by some (those who don’t know what a snob he is) to be actually quite handsome. (those who know he is a snob don’t really care.)

Likes: Geneva, his fiancé, lazing about, telling others what to do, looking important, and lording over everyone else.

Dislikes: The way Geneva hasn’t taken to their engagement very well, the lessons his father gives him about running the village (mainly because he thinks he knows everything already), and being made a fool of.

History: His father has been the village leader ever since his predecessor was killed by monsters. He has always been accustomed to an elevated social status, and that is probably why he grew up to be such a stuck-up young man.

Other: He really does love Geneva, or at least thinks he loves her. He doesn’t know why she is unhappy with their engagement. He is the head man’s son, after all, and he is always polite and charming enough, or so he thinks.

Personality:She's really nice and cool to be around, but she's strong and stubborn, she won't admit she's wrong that easily, Salome would fight and fight until she proves her point even if she's wrong. She might be proud sometimes and even pretentious and impertinent. She's the kind of girl who is hard to get even when she likes when boys admire her. Salome gives an impression of a strong difficult girl but she's nice, humble most of the time and really loves her friends and family.

Appearance:She is average height,5'5 maybe, she has long brown hair that falls around her face like a brown silky curtain. Her eyes are brownish green and her skin is a flawless white. She has a nice body that is almost always covered by her excessive clothing.

History:She had a hard life ever since she was five. Her parents died when their house was set on fire by some people to whom her father owed some money. Ever since that happened she lived alone, depending on the mercy of the people who employed her. She lived with some relatives for a while but when she turned fourteen they deserted her and left her alone. That's when she learned to fight, she learned to fight for what she wanted and never be pushed around by anyone. Salome trained with someone she met working at a stable, a good friend of hers that sold her his sword. That's when it all began for her. She practiced all day and night until she was perfect. After that, she began with the arch.
