Two Crows Watch from the Gallows Tree (part 7)

(Haha same… she’ll probably want Michael’s but will be so anxious she’ll settle for whichever one she finds first lol she’ll probably only take one at a time and try to be stealthy… we’ll have to see how many she gets through before she gets busted haha)

Ky sat down where she was instructed and turned towards Rickard with a smile. “How are you?”

(We shall see!)

Rickard returned the smile, dipping his head to her. "I'm well, miss. Thank you for asking."
Sera sat down beside Ky and took out a pair of scissors and a pair of tweezers.

Ky held her arm out for Sera. The threads were frayed from all the picking Ky had done at them, but the flesh was healed and there was a fresh pink scar beneath the threads.

"I see you've been patient," Sera said dryly, and cut the knot away neatly. She used the tweezers to very gently begin prying the thread back through the holes.

Ky gave a self-depreciating smile. “It itched almost as this does.”

It was such a weird sensation to get stitches out. It didn’t hurt, but she still didn’t like the feel of the thread being pulled free. It didn’t quite itch, maybe more of a tickle, but still gave her an impulse to scratch. But she didn’t.

Sera worked carefully. Rickard watched in silence, another book resting open in his lap.
"So, I didn't get much chance to chat with you yesterday," Sera said. "How was your journey?"

“It was fine,” Ky said. “Overall uneventful. Just… long.”

And angry. And sulky.

(Yeah I just realized, holy cow!)

"Travel is slow in this place," Sera mused. "Even with sleigh runners. It's difficult terrain. But I'm glad there was no trouble. Bandits are still being dispersed from the war; they were capitalizing on people fleeing for quite some time."

(Zoooom)

Ky nodded. “We had a pretty heavy guard… don’t know if there just weren’t any, or if they just stayed hidden so they didn’t get into trouble.”

(We put Sonic the hedgehog to shame)

"Must have been some, but they'd have been idiots to go after Gaius and his men." She finished taking out the stitches.

(hahaha we. are. speed)

Ky nodded, looking down at her arm. “Thank you… it’s nice to have them out.”

"I'm sure." She set down the scissors and tweezers. "It will probably keep itching for a little, but don't let yourself scratch. Move your arm about for me, please."

Ky awkwardly moved, not sure if she wanted a full shoulder or just from the elbow.

"Rotate it all for me?"

Ky obeyed. “When do you think I could start training again?”
