Ozeala 'Oswald' Silver

Return to Myth Arisen

Creator: IcyFlame
Roleplay: Myth Arisen
Nickname: Ozeala/ Oz

Name: Ozeala 'Oswald' Silver.
Age: Looks very late teens, early twenties; actual age unknown... it was never recorded and she doesn't really care. Birth records weren't very strict where she was born but she guesses she's about 20.
Gender: Female when Ozeala, male when Oswald.

Race: Human, she thinks. She never met her mother, so can't be sure.*

Role: The New One.

Appearance: Very short, only 5ft in total but with cropped bright red hair that means she can easily be spotted in a crowd, despite having a slight disadvantage when it comes to height. She makes up for lack of height in strength too, with defined muscles she's very proud of. Her eyes are so dark brown they're almost black, and they somehow get darker still when she's angry (which happens more than she's proud of).She has a scar above her right knee where her father accidentally speared her when he took her out hunting when she was small. She's very proud of this scar, and tells people she got it in battle.

Personality: Comes off as very standoffish. She can be very quiet, not joining in with much of the conversation around her which leads people to think that she isn't listening/doesn't understand but secretely she's taking in everything around her. She will, however, be very vocal when something doesn't agree with her moral standing as she holds this above everything else.Deep thinker, but very basic understanding of how the world works. She is quick to judge, and it's hard to change her mind when its made up about someone or something. Doesn't have a lot of patience for magic, as she thinks it's a bit like cheating. But this is more because she doesn't understand it than an active dislike.
- Strengths: Dressing like a fancy rich man, hunting with a bow and arrow, mental & physical strength, loyalty.
- Weaknesses: Stubborn, quick to anger and hard to calm back down again. would rather solve problems with violence than words, lack of education.

Magic: As far as she is aware, she has no magic. Magic is for creatures that are not human, she has decided and she is very proud to be human. But her mother was an elf, which she doesn't know, so there is some magic buried very deep within her.

History: She grew up with her father, just the two of them, often moving from place to place. She's had no formal education and so has just learnt along the way. This means she is incredibly knowledgable about specific things but has no idea of other things.

After her father became ill, two years ago, she took it upon herself to take over his duties to provide for the family. But women weren't allowed to hunt so she dresses up as a man named Oswald in order to be able to earn money. Her dad died six months ago, and since then she's been hunting as a job to earn some money - the local shop will pay well for certain things she catches and she was recently comissioned to catch and kill a mythical creature for a rich family who wanted it stuffed and mounted on their wall. This is the creature she is chasing and thinks she has caught when she dies. When she wakes up she has no idea what happened and the creature is nowhere to be seen. She thinks she is tracking it when she comes across the tomb.

Up For Love: She was always under the impression that her mother abandoned her by dying and so never wanted to raise her own family, not knowing what a 'real' family looks like. She would be up for love if it came about naturally but she won't ever seek it out, and would probably be highly suspicious of it if it did come about. She has no preference for genders, having never really thought about it before.

Other: *Mother was an elf who fell in love with a human and had a baby, but was scared she would be cast out from her clan so gave up her child to the father who raised her alone. Oz has been told by her father that her mother died in childbirth, so she has no idea of any of this.

Oz sometimes uses expressions that she's heard around, but often gets them wrong. This can lead to humour at her expense which she hates.
