Today's the first year anniversery of when I first joined YWS!!! I should do something, but I have no idea what. Perhaps submit something? Problem is I'm super busy and I have no time to write anything. Grrr. I should have planned this a week ago.

stargazer9927 Someone wrote something with that title a while back. It was a good poem.

I have never offically hated something that's every been posted on YWS, but there's a first for everything I guess. But it makes me mad I can hardly ever get a like while absolute nonsense gets featured. But I'm trying to be nice so I'm biting my tongue, but I just had to vent.

    LadySpark :) which would be?
    Aug 22, 2011

stargazer9927 It's called Bunny Fluffy. I know it wasn't meant to be anything serious but it still made me made it was featured.

Thanks for the review, It was greatly appreciated. Well, the story wasn't fiction to begin with, but I made it fiction.

stargazer9927 You mean it was nonfiction but you changed some things? That's very interesting. I'm sorry and I'm glad he was okay :)

    Boolovesyou Thank ya.

  • Aww thank you :) it's good to know I have something in common with somebody. Where I live I'm the quiet oddball intravert who writes and draws all the time and listens to weird music. And thank you for agreeing with me on the whole twilight thing. I read those books when the hype first started and was very disappointed. Totally not as good as everyone says they are. And the movies are worse...

No I haven't read Kite Runner but I will definitely add it to my reading list for this school year :)

stargazer9927 Yeah, so am I. I have friends and all, but they all tell me I'm not a people person and I can usually be found in my room typing or writing during a party :)

I hate Twilight. I thought the first book was alright but then she just went downhill and the other three I felt were just written for profit not for an actual story. Although I've seen all the movies because Taylor Latner is so cute :)

I have a lot of books on my list for the school year. I love to read, but I'm really picky about what I read.

bElL3 Yeah I have a few friends that I try to keep close but other than them I don't have very many because not a lot of people understand me or just aren't patient enough with me. I literally go for days without talking to people sometimes because I'm so involved with a story I'm writing or book I'm reading or something I'm drawing. I don't mean to be that way I just am. :) It's great to have friends and family that understand, though.

And yes I agree. The first and last ones are the ones I prefer, the two in the middle just seem like gap fillers to make a little more dough and keep the hype going on a little while longer. It irks me that people now think that vampires are sparkly insomniacs that have enough conscience to spare humans and kill animals instead, when what they really are is bloodthirsty homicidal maniacs that sleep in coffins and are allergic to wooden stakes XD. And I can't look at Taylor laugher without seeing Sharkboy, so I prefer Rob (who also sings and composes music which is enough for me to find anybody attractive :D)

So am I oh my gosh, the things that pass for books these days are horrid. Everything on my list was written in the '70's and lower, you know, when authors had standards?

thanks for the review of Awesome Story. Glad you liked it. Most of my stuff is really serious or elaborate and complex (even my comedies, which are of course Awesome) and I found this old piece that would be fun to post. Thanks for the first review, nice to see you enjoy it.

stargazer9927 Yeah I figured it was old because it said possible related items and I found the same story from 2009, so I knew it was a repost. But hey, who says new stories can't be fun? I'll have to read some of your other stuff sometime.

mikepyro got alot of new stuff, not comedies though. thought I erased that piece lol, didn't know it was still around haha

I really want to start a storybook but in order to do that I'll need some experience with working on one someone else already started, because as of now I don't know half the rules (like whatever god modeling is) and I don't know how exactly they work. That and every time I find a storybook that says it's starting it's like nine pages long, which means it's NOT starting. If anyone who has done one before would like to explain it to me that would be much appriciated :)

  • Hi thanks for liking my topic. :) I appreciate it. <3

stargazer9927 No problem. I wasn't really sure if I should write a review because all I would say was I liked the idea because you can't really "review" a novel idea :) So I just stuck with pushing like and figured you would get the message.

Hey, I finished the first chapter of my book. Would you like the PDF?

    stargazer9927 Sure :)
I've been really bored this summer so I could use something to read.

  • I found the other notebook to the very first novel I have ever written. That was something I thought I lost years ago! It also contained my first song and I came to realize the novel was actually finished :/
And here I was telling everyone I had never finished a novel. 241 pages with a ton of loose papers that I can't find and an ending that almost made me cry (yes, my own work made me cry). This just gave my life a whole new meaning :)

Appreictae your review of Family Affair, one of my worst pieces, but glad for the follow. The lack of detail was intentional, the whole piece is about numbness, and yes the last scene is a flashback, he even adresses the boy by his dead son's name. :)
    Appreciate the crit, always helpful.

  • heydude- I was just reading the answers to all the survey questions- you know you can participate in storybooks without a lot of points? The only real cost is starting your own. In case you didn't know. >.> Sorry if you did xD

stargazer9927 No actually I didn't. But my problem now is the only ones I've been able to find already have like fifty people that have posted and I don't have the patience to sit there and read them all and then by some miracle come up with something new :)
I want to start my own, but I'm saving up and trying to think of an idea. It will happen eventually.

Nutty I know the feeling- storybooks move so fast, and it's so hard to join part way through!

  • Hey! thanks for the review!

stargazer9927 No problem! Thanks for the follow :)
By the way, I LOVE your avatar. I'm obsessed with those comics.

Thank you for such an awesome review, and of course I will message you when the next chapter comes. I find it hard to develope characters, so any and all help about that is greatly appreciated!
