  • Hello aha I am green again xD It's been a long while but I'm excited to be back and more involved with YWS things <3

AmayaStatham I have to say, I was rather confused for a second to see your green, bc I was so used to you being an Orange that I thought you got kidnapped by angry vegetables too (like poor Mint) and you were forced to become one while you were in fact a fruit. ^^ Don't mind my rant, welcome back Key!

    RECORD BREAKING ATTEMPT

I hope everyone enjoyed #UnSoMo now as the official social fortnight or #SocialMonth2024 has started. Here is one more exciting thing for you all. This social month we planned to break a YWS record! All the past YWS records and record holders are mentioned in the The YWS Big Book of Records, but there are collective records as well like the last Great Tortoise Race of 2023 we broke the last Most Users to Complete Team Tortoise in one Month record with 9 members making through the month.

This social month on YWS we are trying to break the record of Most people in a writing pad at once. It would be a pretty cool record to set. The last one would probably have been for YWS's 16th birthday with around 32 people. We are trying to surpass that goal and yeah that's crazy, chaotic, and of course AMAZING!

We got this! Do not forget your fruit juices, everyone. Mr.Pineapple invites you to the GREAT PINEAPPLE PARTY hosted by me and @OrabellaAvenue!
    The date and timing is
(There is a code applied that changes the time to the reader's time zone so it will be different for everyone according to where they live)

DreamyAlice YOU WERE THE SPECIAL ONE!!
    Feb 18, 2024

  • Are you a morning or night person? I am turning myself into a morning person, so that is turning me into not being a night person cause I’m too tired all the time aha.
Biggest Pet Peeve: When someone tells me something to do / has a specific tone instructing me and not like giving a suggestion/asking if I can do something.
Collections? I collect books! Not many, but I’m reaaaally hoping to start collecting a few books from my favorite authors as well as some series!
Dream job: Being a sports coach and biology teacher c:
    (your go-to) Emoji: 🩵
Favorite YWS Work: I don’t have any favorites because everything is a favorite!
Greatest achievement: I guess right now it’s getting into my masters program, but in a few months it’ll be graduating from the program!
Hardest part of the writing process: Having energy to not only write but also planning and dedicating some time a day or a week for writing.
If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would donate to my local school districts and help with some serious problems in my home town.
Joke: DNA to RNA: Still single?
    RNA to DNA: Always >:(
Know a fun fact? RNA vaccines are different than the typical vaccine such as a yearly flu shot. RNA vaccines provides the human body “instructions” to learn how to produce antibodies that fight antigens when exposed to a virus!
Last read: Can I change this to what I will read next? Cause I won’t be reading for a couple of months. 0-0 I want to read The Witch Collector and The Ever King soon!
Main writing project: Something Something Clocktower maybe
Note to your past self: There are times in which life will feel like everything is doomed. Realize that to live is to grow in trying times.
One non-necessity you couldn't live without: A journal or book.
Person you admire: Everyone on here c: Mods, retired mods (like me!) users, admins, etc!
Question you'd like people to answer below: What event are you looking forward to on YWS? OR What event do you wish would happen on YWS?
Reason to write: Because I am able to process my thoughts as well as focus on something else outside of my current stressors.
Sports: I don’t often play sports, but I want to coach sometime and I love watching a lot of different sports: baseball, hockey, basketball, football, and tennis, just to name a few!
Tag a YWSer that's a good writer: @Leya @Spearmint @Carlito (To spread some cheer around !!) Everyone is great on here though!
Ultimate color: Lilac/lavender shades or rose gold
Volunteer? … my answer would be YWS but not lately. I do want to volunteer at a local animal shelter or library again though!
What are you working on? My stressful application for my teaching credential and all of my education work.
EXciting news: My birthday is next month c: I’m hoping for a gift card so I can eventually get more books!
Your favorite unlikely combination: Does wearing a beanie and shorts and a tank top count? If not, then room temperature water and lime juice. I don’t really like ice.
Zombies? I watched The Walking Dead. Never trust anyone :p

I always have fun filling out questions!! Yay for #alphabetanswers

Spearmint woah happy early birthday!! :D

  • So I mayhaps be constantly switching between a few different book ideas … but one idea I do really like is this kind of mysterious small town that has some huge yearly attraction and ~things happen~

I wrote a quirky tone of a prologue and my mom said it sounded more like poetry than a prologue but xD oh well.

    Spoiler! :
A city can breathe on its own.
You cannot see the waves throughout the roads, but the air sneaks between the rocks and stones.
At half past the witching hour, one heartbeat can be heard if one stands on top of the bell tower facing south.
But a person should not know this.
    Yet, one does.
And one can tell the other residents in a small town, but not a visitor. Never.
For when a broken clock shows the right time twice a day, so can a person skip a stone thrice across a lake.
One has to believe they can, and thus they shall.
    And does this city breathe?
Does this city grow trees in the darkness and flowers in the daylight? Does the grass rise to an unreasonable height only to shrink to right above one’s ankle under the moon’s eye?
When one lives in this place, one does not recall what the houses held the previous day, or why the market can sell ten chickens during an afternoon.
    One speaks of Before.
    And After.
    But what comes Now?
    A festival, to start.
    Soon, a disaster.
A future no one perceived over pounds of tea leaves.

Spearmint woahhh i love this :D

Hello everyone! This February is Social Month here on YWS! :D The mods will be officially running events like a fruit-themed pad party with online games, fun hashtags, and a spam weekend from February 11th to 25th. But feel free to start your own hashtags and community-building activities throughout the month of February! After all, one of the best parts about YWS is YOU and the rest of the community!!

    Happy Social Month!! :elephant:
