I meant to ask you what you were planning to write as an author? Like what age group, style, and stuff like that? Do you think you'll go for a digital book or a physical one? (sorry for all the questions! just curious :D )
I'm shooting to be an author too, and have been testing out different ideas on this site to see how people react. I'll probably go with The Reaper In Black, a supernatural mystery, and it'll likely go into the young adult fiction area. :)

heavymetal247 Well the age group will probably be more mature then my age, like young adult and up, my style is in the horror, supernatural, and maybe Science fiction genre. The digital books I never thought about doing that, more a physical book, maybe both. I just really want to be a successful writer, so I'm just posting random things I write about, and I'm surprise people who read my writing so far, don't judge. That makes me feel a bit more comfortable I guess... :)

Hey! Are you joining a review team this month? I got into team Black :)

heavymetal247 I'm sorry I'm still a bit of a newbie, but what's the review team? Do you read other people's writings and review them? (stupid question I'm sorry XD)

Sherri Alright, so at the end of every month (I think it's the last Saturday/Sunday of the month) there's something called Review Day. When you log in and look at the home page, do you see the timer at the top of the screen, above the Literary Spotlight? That's how long it is until Review Day. On the right, there should be a Join A Review Team button, or something like that. You click on that, read the instructions/intro, and join a team! The team is randomly chosen for you so each team gets equal members.
The day before review day, you can post works for 0 points, but on review day itself, no one can post. The goal is to review as much as possible for your team. The team with the most points at the end of review day wins! Another goal is to completely empty the Green Room, which is where works with 0 or 1 reviews stay until they get 2 reviews. You don't have to review things in the Green Room, it's just cool to empty it out.
And... I think that's it... Once you get into a team, there's a lot of discussions going on in each respective forum. Like team names, team captains, team logos... Review Day is really just a time for some fun, friendly competition; a lot of people are online around this time, so it's a great time to get to know people. It's pretty fun :) This is my second review day that I'm attending.
Anyways, I think that's it! Sorry for the long reply... and also, no question is stupid so long as there is a question! :D Better ask it than say nothing, right?

    Hey, welcome to YWS!
One thing in particular I noticed... your profile picture!!! I LOVE Black Butler--the obsession probably isn't healthy, but I don't care--so yay! You're awesome!
Anyways, if you have any questions, let me know or flip through the forums. :D

Sherri I just read your About section. We have a lot in common... actually, it's kind of creepy! I thought I had opened up an About section that I wrote for myself--but don't remember writing...--so... cool! Friend-High-Five? :D

The most important service rendered by the press and the magazines is that of educating people to approach printed matter with distrust.
