    I find it interesting that when kids don't act their age everyone praises, but when adults don't act their age everyone criticizes.

    Does anyone else have an internal voice that sounds different from their actual speaking voice and occasionally get startled when their speaking voice sounds different from their internal voice like 'woah I forget I sound like that for a second there'

    Man, there's things I love about having ASD, but I hate the accidental rudeness/brutal honesty and the fact that I have a tendency to say things that come off as rude when I'm not trying to be rude. And the fact that I don't take criticism well and react to by either being rude in response or completely avoiding the people who criticized me doesn't help either.
    I'm just so tired of being made out to be this awful trash person when I hadn't been trying to be and...
    It's just something that's really been wearing out on me. On one hand, I know I'm being immature, but on the other hand constantly having to apologize for rude behavior or behavior that comes off as socially unacceptable or concerning when I hadn't even been aware I was behaving like that has left too many scars on me
