About Starlight9

My passion for drawing or art in general has started since I was a young child, I don't remember at what age I started drawing, but my parents have told me that my talent has been shown even before I learnt how to hold a pencil. As I haven't been taught yet how to write or draw due to my young age, I used to ask anybody sitting next to me to draw for me.
I love reading too . I can consider it my second favorite hobby, after drawing. I have always wished to write stories but never had to guts to do so. (except that when I am forced to write ones for my English classes) Maybe because my writing isn't that perfect so it doesn't give me much confidence. And that's the main reason for driving me to be here on YWS. I want to learn how be a good short-story writer and have enough courage to submit them.

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
