Spearmint good question! you can use online websites like https://www.reduceimages.com/ (just search up "reduce size of images" or something)
if you don't want to use a website, you can also put your image in a google doc or something, then make it smaller and screenshot it xD

mint what pixel by pixel can yws handle (as in how large can i make a poster for an image for something importnat)
Spearmint hmm i'm not quite sure!
i don't think there's a limit if you're using the [img] code, but if you need to upload it to yws and it says it's too big, you can always use an image resizing site to make it smaller.
when i make posters like this worldbuilding workshop one, i use Canva's poster (18 in x 24 in) size, then upload my final image or gif to discord, then use the [img] code on yws, and it seems to work fine ^^
edit: just checked the code by using inspect, and looks like it's 450 x 600 pixels >.> not sure if that's the max size or just the size of that image tho
