Spoiler! :

Okay, so first of all, I really like pigs. That's why my username is Snoink... Sn-OINK. And I have always had a pig avvie, save for the brief times I've changed it to prank somebody, lol. They're adorable.

When I came to YWS, there were no stars! So I was there when Nate rolled out the star system for the very first time. At the time when he introduced the star system, the very highest you could get to was five red stars. Anyway, I was quite excited since I loved leveling up things and I wanted to earn the stars so badly. But then... I already had five red stars when the star system was introduced. I was a bit disappointed, to put it mildly. So Nate encouraged me to make more stars. So I used Photoshop and changed the colors a bit -- all the colors like lime and orange and aqua and purple were all made by me. And so, for a while, I eventually got closer to earning the top stars. And finally I maxed it... again. And promptly bugged Nate for more stars.

Anyway, he told me that he added one more stars thing -- the last stars thing that he would put down, since he was tired of me bugging him all the time to add more stars since I was the only one who was getting to the top. So I was like, "Okay, cool, what color?" But he wouldn't say anything and told me that I would have to find out. So I did more reviews of course... and then maxed out again...

Only to find that Nate didn't actually put more stars!

HE PUT PIGS.

And he did this because he knew how much I loved pigs and knew that I would never bug him about stars again, haha.

Anyway, that's why the highest star ranking is pigs. ^^

Q1: I actually avoided joining YWS at first because it was a forum, lol. I was an active member of TYWC at the time, which was a website, and this older member on TYWC named Nate kept on posting that TYWC was dead and to come join his website instead. But it was a forum! So I didn't really trust it because there were lots of random forums popping up at that time and the quality for forums in general was rather iffy in those days. Anyway, my TYWC friend, ShadowKnight, kept bugging me about it and finally he got me to officially join when he asked me to review a poem that he wrote... but it was on YWS... and you could only read literary works if you were a member. So that's when I eventually joined.

Q2: Five things? Oh goodness. My children have to count. I'm super proud of my husband. My taco recipe has to be another. My siblings are amazing people and I'm happy to be their sister. And my coffee making skills... I make excellent sweet treats for coffee that are just so sweet and amazing to the point where going out to coffee is a bit of a bit of a hassle since I make such amazing coffee at home.

@Rose>> I would make an amazing burrito to model my weird humor. It would be carnitas, because I love pigs and think they are funny, but also they are delicious, so... well... carnitas, lol. There would be some guacamole because I am a millennial and avocados are a must. There would be salsa, but pronounced as salza because that's how I pronounce it, that's not too spicy, but that's okay because it's rich and flavorful. There would be rice, because it needs to fill you up, but not too much. There would be beans, because sometimes potty humor is funny, and lettuce because you have to eat your greens somehow so might as well hide it in your burrito, and lots of sour cream because sour is sort of like sarcasm and I need that in my life. And lots of cheese because my jokes are horribly cheesy. Mix all those ingredients, put it in a soft tortilla, and there is my humor dish, haha.

Rose Wow!! What a dish, I loved every part of it! Especially the sour cream as sarcasm, and the carnitas are the best (especially if you love pigs so much to even eat them xD)!!

Q1: I blame my husband for how cute my kids look, obviously. He is a handsome fellow. (Though, with that said, he would blame me for the kids being cute and call me a cutie, so there is a bit of an impasse there!)

Q2: Uh... this is going to sound crazy, but my characters mostly come to me. I'm not sure where they come from. They just... exist independently. I can identify parts of me in them, but also they are very much their own people. I am not sure how to explain it. It's weird. I sometimes find myself talking about writing my story with the pronouns "we" because I include them as their own people. >.>

Q3: The weirdest food combo that I had before? WELL. I lived in Japan for several months and that was just an adventure in different food, lol. Their pizzas there were wonderfully creative. Fridays are Fish Fridays at my house because I am obnoxiously Catholic, so we would go to this family friendly restaurant and eat various types of pizza... including this delicious seafood pizza with shrimp and clams and octopus... I think. I don't actually read or understand Japanese, so I was just picking out menu items using the pictures, lol. Still, the weirdest pizza that I ever had was at this one Temple area at this restaurant that overlooked Mt. Fuji. They had a bunch of "American food" available, including BLT Pizza. So I had to try it. It was literally pizza crust smeared with mayo with full size bacon strips, whole lettuce leaves, and tomato slices. I loved it, honestly.

IMAGINE. Ellie walks out into a garden, contemplating her recent betrothal to Theron... and stumbles upon a Black Swan who is stuck in a brambly bush.

...on second thought, that would be a very, very sad ending. But it might be an interesting story nonetheless!

(I know, I know... I need to finish the series, haha.)

Blatant book 2 spoilers, but. I had a brain wave so.

Spoiler! :

One of the things that always annoyed me with the second book was that you never saw the letter that Solea wrote. Which makes some sense, because why would he share it with to anyone, especially Alainna? He was embarrassed! But on the other hand, so many people read it and the letter gets referenced later in the second book and the third book... there's even a reference to it in Book 4 from Cyrus, of all people, so like... I probably need to put it in. But I was never sure where.

But today I woke up and knew where. At the Temple, when he gives a letter to the priestess, it would be hilarious if he gave the wrong letter to her and, in his embarrassment and fumbling, Alainna would get a chance to read at least a little bit of what Solea wrote. And it would probably be hilarious too because Solea can be quite funny and she's a good writer, etc., but also she's angry when she wrote it and... it would be a fun read, honestly.

The master gardener smiled gently. “Try not to worry about the tree! When your mother brought the seeds to me, I was not sure they would survive! All the saplings seemed to wither away. Your mother shed many tears over all the dead saplings. But this tree has last through so much. It is a tough tree that has known much suffering, and yet still it has survived. Try not to worry about it!”

“I will try,” Tristian said, though his heart felt weak all the same. He glanced at the three apples that hung off the tree. “Should we pick the apples before the bird takes them away and breaks the tree further?” he asked, trying not to seem bothered by the idea of the bird further destroying the tree.

But the master gardener shook his head. “No. Keep the apples on the tree. Let the bird come again.”

Tristian blinked in surprise. “What do you mean by that?”

“You are a prince, not a gardener,” the master gardener said gently. “I am the gardener. I will tend to the tree right now and make sure the bird does not come for the rest of the night. But you are the prince. You must hunt the bird who would destroy your precious tree.”
