winterwolf0100 I’m so sorry! When we were in rehearsals, I found out someone I’d been around tested positive for Covid, so I wore a mask to rehearsals until I could take a test? That way I could still be there but not expose people!

You know stariotype it's always the teenage daughter who is absorbed in her phone texting her friends and being all secretive and ignoring the parents. But no. In this family it's the parents who choose to ignore their children while they try to actually have a conversation.i don't know why but I expected just a little recognition for getting all As this semester, like nothing big, not even a congrats, good job, or I am proud. Just some sort of recognition. Anything to prove my existence mattered to him. In between the narcissists and controlling nature there was someone who saw worth in me. I guess not. After all I am just here to be used as an excuse to get anything he wants. I swear if I hear one more time something divorce wise is "for the girls" it never is. Just an excuse is what I am.

alliyah Really sorry you're going through that Quill, having parents go through a divorce is really tough on everyone involved. <3 And not a good feeling to not get recognition for something that you put a lot of work into.

I know it won't make things all okay, but try to remember that his behavior is about him and his issues, not any genuine reflection of your worth--LadyM is right, he really is missing out. You did really great this semester, I know you worked really hard. It's 100% worth doing a little something to celebrate yourself, even if he won't. You more than earned it <333

Snoink Awwww. I'm sorry. That sounds tough. And divorce is... a traumatic thing to go through, especially as a kid, since you're so helpless and there's nothing you can do but just experience the feelings of grief as your entire life gets rearranged while everyone tells you it's for the best. Like... that's just gut-wrenching. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that.

Anyway, you did a great job this semester for getting straight As! Not everybody can do it, but you did, so YAY! I hope you find some way to celebrate... I used to buy myself a strawberry soda to celebrate special achievements since it was a cheap little reward I could afford, haha. Or! A chocolate milkshake. Maybe do something special like that for yourself?

DreamyAlice ah quill don't worry, its hard but trying doing your best and this is what i have learned to never expect things from people, i know you can't control it everytime but just nah it really is not worth it. The school year isn't over yet.
But if all stays the same I will finish this semester with all As
Doesn't seem like much at face value but after a really really horrible last 3 semesters it's been very refreshing to not almost die and bearly sleep and bearly eat to get an okay grade. It's just nice.

*trying to figure out how the heck I am supposed to have the art skills to make a realistic looking 3D entire city in one day because apparently my last one just wasn't good enough for my art appreciation teacher* I signed up for art APPRECIATION I never said I had the supplies skills or time to make perfect art projects. *Sighs in general school stress"

And I already spent so much time making a flat model on my computer because in the instruction said that was one of the options but my teacher said it had to be 3D so I am also just burnt out

I keep on having this dream where it's the show date for the musical I am in and we are in no way prepared and part of the cast doesn't show up and the feeling is like last year when we had no air conditioning and so it's just this exhausted miserable feeling and I just don't want it to happen again. But we only have less then a month and we only have choero for 2 songs and blocking for 2 scenes after all this time and people keep on not showing up and I don't need these dreams on top of it. I will also say that this one girl also stopped in the middle of rehearsals to say "the circles under your eyes are SO dark" T-T and I am trying to get school finished and I just- *flops face first*
