btw, thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday <3

i wont say much that i havent said in previous years, but april is always a rough time of year for me mentally. that, combined with some health issues, really took me out of my momentum for things ive planned for yws (i have a list XD)

honestly, i dont know when ill be "active" again besides what i need to do; illnesses take a while for me to recover

my motivation to do anything has gone down the drain, so ill probably be taking a break from yws things for a bit, until i can get back ahold of irl things. everythings spiraling out of control and i need to prioritize

had a to-do list for yws this weekend because I haven't been able to do what I'd like over the week...turns out I was busy over the weekend too

niteowl Lol I always say I’m going to be on more on the weekends and then I almost never am…not really because I’m busy but more because I’m not feeling well or I “should be doing something more important” but then I’m not doing that thing either.

It's day 3 of National Poetry Writing Month and the poets are continuing to impress over in the NaPo forums! Today's #PcrewPick comes from a thread that I am super excited to read this month "parked car in the badlands" that has some beautiful graphics and a terrific sense of place and scene already. The poem I'd like to highlight from it for you today is the scar in arizona by @SilverNight. The poem uses the metaphor of elements from trip to the grand canyon to illustrate tension in a relationship.

These are my favorite lines from the poem:
i tell you my heart is a postcard to the grand canyon
and you don’t get the reference. it’s okay, you’ve never been there
and it’s hard to imagine a fracture that size if you haven’t seen one.
