About Nathan

Nathan created the Young Writers Society on November 14, 2004, for young writers around the globe ages 13+. The idea for the organization was a result of Nathan's prior membership of a website called The Young Writers Club in his youth.

Since then, Nathan has continued to manage and maintain the Young Writers Society. He remains an active administrator, and can be reached through either the site's private message system or by emailing nate@youngwriterssocety.com.

In addition to his management of the Young Writers Society, Nathan holds a B.A. in economics and a minor in mathematics from St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public honors college. He also holds a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law, and he is an associate member of the Bar in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has previously worked for members of the United States Congress and is currently engaged in social media marketing for law firms.

Nathan is also an avid backpacker, having backpacked Yosemite, Zion, Yellowstone, and Australia's outback, among others.

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
