My older just told me that he's gay. To be completely honest, it's not something that I expected. In fact, the idea has never even crossed my mind before. I still feel sort of shocked.
Still, I love my brother, and I'm so proud of him. I can't imagine how much bravery it took for him to tell the entire family (way more bravery than I have), and I'm really happy for him

Happy New Years everybody!!! It is now (at least where I live), officially 2014!
My resolution is to be brave. It's the first year I've actually made a resolution, but it applies to a lot of areas of my life, so I hope I'll be able to fulfill it.
2013 was a huge year for me (which I didn't suspect). I figured out I wanted to be a writer, started my first novel, and joined the YWS. I'm both excited and nervous for 2014 XD.

I made so much progress on my novel this week. I feel so relieved, especially considering the nasty writer's block I've been going through for a while

Apparently, I signed up to write an article for my school newspaper a couple weeks ago, and it was due this Friday. Somehow, though, I forgot to do it, which is so weird because I never forget ANY of my school assignments. One the editors facebook messaged me a few hours ago to tell me that I needed to email it to her and I FREAKED OUT! I made up some excuse that I tried to email it to her before but I must have used the wrong address, and then I typed up the entire article in less than ten minutes flat and sent it as fast as I could.
Scariest. Experience. OF MY LIFE.... O_O

My county just had its first snow storm of the winter. Nearly every school in the entire school district was closed or dismissed early... EXCEPT for my school.
Can't say I'm surprised. Luck just really hasn't been on my side, lately.
